Spotlight Village - Gordes

The church of Saint-Firmin: Right in the heart of the village of Gordes stands the splendid church of Saint-Firmin. Built in the 18th century to replace the old church, it isn't very big but its distinctive feature is that it blends in perfectly with the narrow streets and houses of the old village, adding to Gordes' charm and originality. You're bound to come across it as you wander through the cobbled streets.

The Bories Village: Just a stone's throw from Gordes are these astonishing dry-stone constructions dating back to prehistoric times. Witnesses to the ancestral rural way of life, these bories offer a fascinating journey back in time, a reminder of the simplicity and ingenuity of the ancient inhabitants.
