What we like

Location: in the countryside but only minutes drive from some of the most beautiful villages.
Things to note
Pool security: the pool has an alarm for security, but parental supervision is still needed for young children.
On the ruins of an ancient hamlet, this house was built entirely from stone in the traditional Provençal style and features huge terraced areas as well as a large pool which is ideal for children thanks to the 1m-deep shallow end. Nearby you can find the shady poolhouse with summer kitchen and shower room. There are two levels of lawned gardens, the lower level is flanked by the pool at one end and a traditional boulodrome at the other. The upper level extends to the shady wooded area, with a chill-out hammock suspended between the trees.
The house stands alone and backs onto acres of private woodland... perfect for those who want to hike or cycle straight from the garden, whilst enjoying the stunning views which stretch to Mont St. Victoire and 50km beyond. The major advantage of its position is that, even in high summer, the property benefits from light breezes but never suffers from the infamous “mistral” winds.
Exterior
There are several spaces to enjoy and relax at this property... you can laze by the large heated pool, enjoy a comfortable aperitif on the sofas on the terrace or dine in the many shaded spots, all whilst marvelling at the amazing view. This is an ideal property for a large group or family that want some private areas for themselves whilst being together in a beautiful part of Provence.
Pool
Enjoy the large 15m x 6m heated swimming pool with alarm system and amazing view. The shallow end, accessed by steps, is only 1m deep and the deep end is 2.7m. Surrounding the pool are 12 sun loungers and 2 parasols. Nearby, you can find the large pool house with exterior shower, WC and ping pong table.
Interior
The vast beamed sitting room features a large open fireplace and huge sofas. Nearby is the spacious dining room which leads into the fully-equipped kitchen with lacanche range cooker, dishwasher and just about everything a chef could need. Almost every room benefits from large French windows which open onto different terraces. The property also boasts a utility room with WC, washing machine and tumble dryer. Should you or the children require entertainment, there is satellite TV with numerous English channels, a large collection of children’s videos/DVDs, books, games and music system.
This home has been simply but elegantly furnished and is full of Provençal charm, blending antiques with all modern comforts and requirements.

There are 4 double and 2 twin bedrooms (bedroom 6 is in an independent apartment with its own kitchen, bathroom and sitting room). This property also boasts 3 ensuite bathrooms and 2 shower rooms.

There is a further bathroom with shower, sink and WC in the right wing.

There is a Jack and Jill bathroom with shower, sink and WC for bedrooms 3 and 4.

Cucuron is one of the most beautiful villages in Vaucluse, in the Luberon National Park. It has retained its Provençal authenticity and its atmosphere exudes an old-fashioned charm. Its heritage, its natural environment and its taste for good cuisine make it a very pleasant place for holidays.
