Things to note

Pool Safety: the swimming pool is secured by an alarm, but children should be supervised when nearby.
Original Staircase: young children may require supervision on the stone staircase as the steps are quite large.

A great base for a family or group of friends

We really enjoyed our stay in Las Vigueirat - it was a great base for exploring the villages of Les Alpilles. It’s situated on the outskirts of St Etienne du Gres and is very quiet and peaceful. The Mas is very spacious, superbly equipped and very secure. The garden is well looked after with plenty of shady spots - we got full usage from the pool - it was lovely and warm! We never met our host. Despite arriving punctually at 16.00 hours as arranged we were shown round by the cleaners who were just finishing off. The head cleaning lady did a great job however! Despite having messaged several weeks prior to our arrival to request a cot and high chair for our 15 month old grandson we were disappointed these did not arrive until around 19.00 on on arrival day which meant he was very fractious as it was long past his bed time! Key hand over on departure day was a little irritating too. We all had long drives that day (Cherbourg, Geneva, Montpelier) and were keen to leave punctually but the gentleman picking up the keys arrived 30 minutes after the pre -arranged departure time.

Family Holiday

We had a fantastic week with our family, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing property. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Everyone in our party absolutely loved the pool area, we had so much fun. The temperature was very warm and it was great to jump into the pool every day. It was kept very clean throughout our stay. The layout of the house with the three separate sleeping areas with bathrooms was perfect for the three groups within our family setting. It was very comfortable and a very welcoming place to stay. Provence holidays also arranged a chef to come and cook at the villa one evening to celebrate my birthday, which wasn’t cheap but was well worth every penny. Julien was very professional, his food was delicious and the whole experience was a real treat. Just one small point to note; we arrived at the property later than expected due to delays in our flight time and we were tired after a long journey. It would have been nice if the welcome pack had included milk, coffee, bread & butter, not just the wine and water. Having said that, we will definitely be back.

Perfect villa for family vacation!

I am so happy to leave a glowing review for this villa! We stayed for two weeks in late May and early June with family and friends and had a wonderful time. The home is beautifully appointed with every convenience you could want, and the outdoor living and pool area were a beautiful extension of the home. We were able to take easy day trips and also cook together in the evenings. I cannot think of a single thing we did not enjoy. The Concierge service was so helpful and delivered groceries and wine that were in place when we arrived. Any questions were answered promptly by Provence Holidays and by Carine, our property manager. We made memories for a lifetime!
