Historical Property: dating back to Louis XIV, this 18^th-century property was built by the Lord de Violaine and takes inspiration from the Palace of Versailles with its Baroque architecture and French formal gardens. One of the largest estates in the region at the time of its construction, this remarkable holiday rental has been recently renovated with modern amenities throughout.

Things to note

Pool Safety: the swimming pool is secured by a roller shutter, but small children should be supervised when in its vicinity.
Vast Grounds: staff will be present throughout your holiday to maintain the 30-hectare grounds surrounding the château. 

Exterior

With 30 hectares of grounds to explore, Château des Vignes offers everything from beautifully-manicured French formal gardens with 300-year-old statues, to a private vineyard, to a tennis court, to a stunning olive grove. Inspired by the Palace of Versailles, these exceptional grounds also offer shaded terraces either side of the château and several comfortable seating areas in the gardens directly in front. Cook a delicious meal for your loved ones on the gas barbecue before enjoying a game of boules as you watch the sun set over the hills of Provence.

Pool

After a long day exploring Aix-en-Provence, you can relax on one of the comfortable sun loungers or take a soothing swim in the 9m x 4m heated pool. Surrounded by a lush lawn and with a large trampoline nearby, this delightful pool area is ideal for multigenerational families or groups of friends.

Interior

Originally built in the 18^th-century, Château des Vignes was recently renovated to include air conditioning in the main bastide and new appliances throughout. As you enter this luxurious property, you will find the large stone staircase, the formal dining room with billiards and the formal living room with a beautiful fireplace and piano. Up a small staircase, there is the fully-equipped kitchen, one double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a second dining room and a cosy living room which opens onto the courtyard. On the first floor, there are five more ensuite double bedrooms, including the large Master bedroom with its unique tapestry, and a TV room.
From the smaller courtyard, you have access to the independent annexe which features a kitchenette, lounge, double bedroom and ensuite bathroom. This space is perfect for those seeking additional privacy during their luxury holiday in Provence.
