Mougins, Cote d'Azur / French Riviera

In the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur, Mougins, a perched village with atypical charm, dominates the bay of Cannes and has a rich medieval history. The city is known for its gastronomy. It has also been able to develop close links with art and culture and has become a prestigious golfing destination.

What makes this village special?

Surrounded by forests, this superb medieval village with winding and flowery streets offers an unrivaled panorama over the bay of Cannes, Grasse and the Pre-Alps. Mougins enjoys exceptional light which has attracted many artists such as Picasso, Paul Éluard, Man Ray and Fernand Léger, which has allowed it to develop close links with art and culture.

Ancient history enthusiasts will stroll through the old centre, between fountains and washhouses, and will linger in the Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church and the Notre-Dame-de-Vie and Saint-Barthélemy chapels, while art enthusiasts will rush to the Mougins Classical Art Museum (MACM) and the Photography Museum, and will not forget to visit the many galleries and artists' studios present throughout the town.

Having received the Ville et Métiers d'art label for Gastronomy in 2011, Mougins has more than 40 restaurants, including several starred, some established in sumptuous residences. A golden opportunity to taste local products while enjoying an exceptional setting!

On the natural side, the village is not to be outdone since it has two golf courses which will delight amateurs, an Eco Park which will bring young and old together around numerous activities in a bucolic setting and the superb Fontmerle pond, ideal for walks, where you can admire the largest lotus colony in Asia. Decidedly, Mougins has everything to please!
