Location: Domaine de la Source is just a short drive from a beautiful perched village in the Luberon with restaurants, shops, bakeries and markets.
Garden: one of the finest assets of the property, this truly magnificent garden has a velvety lawn and two ponds featuring a cascade and koi carp which dart between the lilies.
Keep Cool: newly installed in July 2021, this system will keep the main house cool and refreshed even on the hottest of summer days. The guest house benefits from air conditioning in every room.
Outdoor Seating: there is a comfortable ‘salon d’été’ underneath a very shady vined pergola by the main house and a comfortable dining area under the guest house's shaded terrace... plenty of room for you to gather for a delicious meal with your loved ones.
Pool Security: the main house swimming pool is secured by an electric shutter and the guest house swimming pool is secured by a manual shutter, but children should be supervised when nearby.
Water Features: the large ponds and canal are not secured, so please keep an eye on children when they are outdoors.
Domaine de la Source is set in one hectare of landscaped gardens with two beautiful ponds that are home to plenty of Provencal wildlife. Enjoy a cool glass of wine whilst gazing out over Luberon views and listening to the chorus of crickets and frogs, or eat under the shady vine-covered pergola after a long day visiting the wonderful perched villages of the Luberon.
This fabulous property benefits from two luxurious swimming pools which are perfect for cooling off after a long day exploring the Luberon. By the main house, you will find a 10m x 5m saltwater swimming pool with a submerged security shutter and a depth of 1.5m. The nearby pool house with WC is ideal for relaxing in the shade after a refreshing swim. Surrounded by stunning lawns, you can take a warm outdoor shower whilst admiring the Luberon views.
Outside the guest house, there is an 8m x 4m swimming pool that is heated upon request and features a partially submerged plage at one end. Lit in the evenings and overlooked by a shaded outdoor living room, you can relax here and enjoy the sweet sound of cicadas.
The main house has a fully-equiped kitchen with two electric ovens, four-hob gas cooktop, two fridges, a freezer and a dishwasher on the ground floor. This kitchen has room for everyone to help or for a professional chef if you prefer! The dining room, with its large French doors, is the ideal indoor-outdoor living space. The atmospheric lights in the chandelier and under the pergola make this a truly magical spot. Nearby, the living room has two comfortable sofas which are perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring the region. Also on the ground floor, you will find one double bedroom and its ensuite bathroom. Upstairs, there are four more double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.
On the ground floor of the fully air-conditioned guest house, you will find the open-plan living/dining room with direct access to the shaded terrace through large bay windows. On your left, there is a very well-equipped kitchen which leads onto the main bathroom with washing machine, walk-in shower, sink and WC. Upstairs, the Master bedroom features a queen-sized double bed and the second bedroom has two large single beds. Between the bedrooms, you will find a WC for your convenience.

Bedroom 5: with queen-sized double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and WC.
On the first floor of the guest house:

Bedroom 2: with two large single beds and air conditioning.
These bedrooms share an independent bathroom, on the ground floor, with a walk-in shower, sink and WC. There is also an independent WC between the two bedrooms on the first floor.

Our family of 12, rented both villas on the property and we were delighted by the wonderful garden and outdoor living spaces. Bedrooms and all areas in the house modern and well presented. Kitchen well stocked and a delightful owner and manager who were very helpful. The nearest town St Saturnin-les-Apt has some nice restaurants and benefits from being just off the main tourist routes.
9 kilometers from Apt, on the southern slopes of the Monts de Vaucluse, this medieval village, built on a rocky outcrop, offers a breathtaking panorama of the Luberon, the Alpilles and the Monts de Vaucluse. All around, an environment of scrubland and forests reminds you that you are in the South. This agricultural town steeped in history is really worth the detour.
