What we like best

Location: The island of Barthelasse lies directly in front of Avignon and less than ten minutes away from the historic center of Provence's most visited city. Stroll through the historic streets of the medieval city in front of the backdrop of the imposing Papal Palace and return to the island, just a stone's throw away, to leave the hustle and bustle of the town and immerse yourself in a peaceful and relaxing environment.
Design: This historic farmhouse has been renovated with impeccable taste. With the original stone-built floors, wonderful antiques, and splendid engravings, this distinguished and classically inspired rensidence at the heart of Provence is yours to enjoy. 
Modern equipment: Mas Dürer blends stylish, historical charm with modern luxury. Enjoy the high-end modern equipment with high-quality bedding and linen, a walk-in shower with a hydromassage column, and air conditioning throughout.

Pool Security: The swimming pool is secured by a roller shutter, but extra care should be taken with young children.

Exterior

Stroll through the hectare of magnificently landscaped garden with vast lush lawns, splendid olive trees, and large oak trees, which provide cool shade to relax in on hot summer days. Lounge by the swimming pool nestled in its green setting or enjoy a glass of chilled rosé from a local vintner on the east side terrace at sunset. This private, urban oasis is ideal for rest and recharging, and at the same time for experiencing the cultural scene, the boutiques, and the historical sights of Avignon, the pulsating heart of Provence.

Pool

The 11 x 5 m swimming pool with salt filtration is located to the west of the property, surrounded by a terrace with sunbeds, parasols, and a pool house. Lean back, close your eyes, let go of all of your daily worries and cares, and allow yourself to release all tension in your body as you soften and melt into the sunbed and remain mindfully present and grounded.

Interior

This historic 380 m 2 Mas from the 19th century  has a large living and reception room with access to the main terrace, as well as a kitchen and dining room opening onto the east garden. The light, elegant design with large rooms and stylish antiquities recreates the experience of living in an authentic classical palace. You will feel like the lords and ladies of the past as you indulge in the comfort and luxury of today.
There is one bedroom on the ground floor, particularly suitable for those who prefer to avoid stairs, another bedroom on the upper ground floor, two comfortable double bedrooms on the first floor, and a large Master suite on the second floor, with a children's room adjoining if needed.

This stunning property sleeps ten guests in five bedrooms all complete with air-conditioning, TV, a dressing area, and a bathroom: 

On the ground floor: 
Bedroom 1: with a queen-sized double bed (160 x 200 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, and WC. 

On the upper ground floor: 
Bedroom 2 : with a king-sized double bed (180 x 200 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, and WC. 

On the first floor:
Bedroom 3: with a queen-sized double bed (160 x 200 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, and WC.
Bedroom 4: with a queen-sized double bed (160 x 200 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink, and WC.

On the second floor:
Bedroom 5/Master: with a king-sized double bed (180 x 200 cm) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sink and WC.
Bedroom 5 has an adjoining bedroom with two single beds, ideal for a couple with young children.
