Enjoy breathtaking views of the Luberon region by climbing the Via Ferrata at Cavaillon, only a 20 minute walk from the city centre.
Cavaillon is the only city in Europe to offer a Via Ferrata (protected climbing route) within walking distance of the city centre. Once you arrive at the top of the hill, the view of Cavaillon and of the Luberon region is breathtaking.
2 complementary loops will allow you to immerse yourselves in the heart of the cliffs of the hill of Saint Jacques:
- "Via Natura" (Reserved + 1.30 m, Exposure: South-West, Duration: 2 hours).
- "Via Souterrata" crosses the caves of the Colombier then the Beaumes de Combarelles (Reserved + 1.50 m, Exposure: East, Duration: 4 hours (2 hr Via Natura + 2 hr Via Souterrata)).
Access: 20 minutes walk from the Tourist Office. Open all year round (depending on the weather).
