What makes this village special?

Céreste en Luberon has retained a medieval part to discover during a timeless walk through its cobbled streets. You can admire pretty fountains, old dovecotes, the Notre-Dame gate, the chapel of the Penitents, stone houses and the Romanesque bridge at the exit of the village. Don't miss the gargoyles on the Place de Verdun that adorn certain facades.

The village has retained an undeniable charm thanks to the renovation of its old houses, transformed into inns, art or craft workshops. Céreste is also worth a visit for its priory, the priory of Carluc, which presents a medieval complex in a very good state of conservation, with old dwellings, a necropolis dug into the rock, the foundations of two chapels, the remains of a wall of the 13th century as well as an old source. Located 3 kilometers from the village, the site exudes an incredible, mysterious and romantic atmosphere.

An original cycle path has been set up on an old railway line which linked the country of Forcalquier to the Rhône valley. By taking it, the most athletic will have the opportunity to discover landscapes of rare beauty.
