Fabulous base in the Luberon

Whilst the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs are well appointed, the ground floor and outdoor space at Maison Cucuron really makes it magical. Fabulous pool, gardens and outdoor eating / lounge areas mean that everybody has plenty of space to relax. The large extension with sitting room and dining table is a brilliant place to retreat to to escape the midday sun. Croissants in Cucuron are a 5 minute drives away and plenty of beautiful villages and towns to explore nearby.

A great way to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary

The venue was as described- with glorious views. Clean, tidy, modern kitchen equipment which made our stay a pleasant one. We were greeted by our friendly hosts on arrival and departure who ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Didn’t want to leave.

Charmant, ruim, geriefelijk, goed gelegen (Malaucene, Vaison la Romaine, le Ventoux, en prachtige natuur), veilig voor kinderen (zwembad), confortabele temperatuur in huis, rustige omgeving. Alle kamers zouden best voorzien worden van een vliegenraam (hor).

Charmig, rymlig, bekväm, bra läge (Malaucene, Vaison la Romaine, le Ventoux, och vacker natur), säker för barn (pool), behaglig temperatur i huset, lugn miljö. Alla rum skulle vara bäst utrustade med ett flugfönster (skärm).

Beautifully presented villa which provided you with everything you needed for a relaxing top quality

The moment you walked around the corner into the stunning garden and pool area you know you will have a great time at this villa . Air conditioning inside was a welcomed retreat from the hot days , but wow sitting out on the veranda early evening gazing at beautiful garden was a delight , as night falls clear skies allows you to star gaze . At the front of the villa a fun game of boules can be had . Just totally relaxing holiday . Nathalie the owner greeted us to guide us round and provided a delicious welcome pack . The villa is in a very quiet area however supermarket and local village close by , a really a great spot to get out and about to explore in the car . The photos of the villa are very true , in fact it’s more stunning in reality .

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique dans ce gîte plein de charme. Repos absolu dans une région centralisée qui permet de découvrir tant la côte camarguaise que les petits villages aux alentours.

Beautiful, well equipped villa in an ideal location

This was a well equipped, beautifully decorated house with lots of attention to details. It was a perfect size for 8 of us (2 families with teenagers) and we made full use of the lovely pool, terrace and BBQ grill too. The location was ideal, set in a pretty but not too busy village of Perne les Fontaines. With lots of cycling routs, local markets and winerys in the area, it was an excellent choice for our family vacation. Thank you Simon for your warm welcome and the many tips you offered us!

A simply stunning villa

We stayed at this amazing property for a week in July with our family, 17 in all. Everything about the villa is superb and we could not have had any better place to stay. The villa is very spacious,in fact the website photos do not adequately desccribe it. The bedrooms are very comfortable and some have their own sitting area. There are several libraries of books, litterally hundreds of books. The kitichen is very well equipped and for the enthusiastic cook it is a dream. There is a barbecue area and 2 outdoor areas to dine. There is a play room for children and the generous owners provide equipment for tennis and other games. The views are stunning. The manager, Kaye was very helpful, advising us where to shop and attending to any of our needs. She is a cheerful and generous person. We were lucky enough to stay during the lavender season and took advantage of the lavender field on the property to have a professional photographer come and take photos of our family. I cannot recommend Avalon strongly enough whether you are a family or a group of friends.

Lovely Maison in Ménerbes!

We could not have been happier with our home away from home. The property was exactly as described on a beautiful expanse of land under the walled village of Ménerbes. A short walk to get groceries and fabulous quaint restaurants. The owner was extremely responsive and even met me there to give us a tour which made us feel very welcome. One of our friends is a private chef and she felt very comfortable creating gourmet meals in the well equipped kitchen! I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful home base in Ménerbes.

An enchanting stay...

This beautiful home was the base for a wonderful holiday with our UK family in the Luberon. Our hosts were fantastic providing friendly advice and ensuring we had everything we needed for the stay. The lovely village of Cabrieres d'avignon is ideally located within easy access of all the major Luberon sights, close to supermarkets and only a short drive to Avignon. We loved the market at Coustellet for its abundance of local produce and traders providing plenty of samples! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer....highly recommended!

Beautiful spacious lux house with great views - close to town

We had another wonderful stay for the second year in a row here, views are wonderful, particularly from the covered patio. Pool and pool house a terrific and there are lots of wonderful rooms for our large family. Especially liked the new opened up kitchen with the fancy coffee maker, and the additional baths. We walked to town several times and drove others - walk on market day- a great place to pick up many things for picnics. The cafe Republican has a great balcony in the back to take your morning coffee overlooking the country side. Easy drives around the valley to explore other towns and nice vistas.

A Dream Come True!

It's difficult to get a real idea of the place from the photos, but it is exactly what we would ofdreamed of. A view to die for; totally quiet; a delightful home; and, most importantly, endless tennis, swimming, table tennis etc to keep the kids happy. I couldn't think of a nicer house in which to spend our holidays.

Charming inside and out

Beautiful , peaceful Mas Le Thor in very rural setting but 5 minutes from a super market. The garden and terraces full of roses under the shade of two huge plane trees, plenty of sun by the pool. And a wonderfully provincial interior, full of treasures and charm. A very kind helpful gardener near who lived next door and two charming cleaners, nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent Stay

Once again, we had a wonderful time at the house: exceptional weather, top facilities and a large, well-planted garden that allowed the whole family to relax. The swimming pool is big and with a beautiful fountain. We remember, the view from the summer dining room for meals. We can not wait to come back next year.

A week in Provence !

We felt immediately at home in this charming house which rests in a quiet, rural environment. It is within easy reach of the lovely Luberon villages. Bedding is excellent, bathrooms are great, the kitchen is well equipped, and a dip in the pool is refreshing. Without hesitation, we would recommend it. We would be back !

Wonderful

Myself and a group of friends spent a week at this beautiful villa to celebrate my sixtieth birthday.I have nothing but praise for every aspect of the experience. We were met and checked in with efficiency and friendliness and nothing was to much trouble for Krissy who looked after us.The Villa was spotlessly clean and has both charm and style.It is spacious and has a fantastic outside dining area with BBQ where we held my birthday celebration.There is also a smaller outside dining area which is in direct sunlight where we all gathered each morning for breakfast.The pool has also has a delightful dining area which is covered and each evening we would often sit and chat over a glass of wine together.The grounds and gardens are also beautifully maintained.There had been careful attention to detail to ensure that every aspect of our stay was catered for.We were even gifted two bottles of rose wine for our arrival evening along with a refreshment pack. I have absolutely no negatives to share.This is a five star property with five star services and we all had a five star experience! Thank you Mark and Krissy who manage the property.You have an outstanding operation and helped,along with this beautiful house, to ensure that I had a very memorable sixtieth birthday experience!.

Fantastic week

We had the most fantastic week. We took our grown up kids and friends and they were totally enraptured by the place, as were we. The conversion is wonderful and the pool area especially great - we played a lot of petanque and pool games, I think I spent almost one whole hour just floating around on a noodle watching buzzards. The girls loved the art, my son had vinyl envy and the lawn was just the right size for holiday cricket. The owner's attention to detail and comfort made us feel at home and not too overawed to enjoy ourselves. To be honest I'm not sure if the website does justice to how special the house is and leaving after only one week was tough.

The most relaxing vacation I have ever had

A perfect vacation villa. It sits in a unique and picturesque area, is beautifully appointed inside and out, and has a fully stocked kitchen with whatever you may need to cook a meal or entertain. We spent as much time on the patio overlooking the pool as possible. The villa is close to the village of Lourmarin, which is not only charming and photogenic, but also has many good restaurants as well as pharmacy, doctors, and other amenities that some villages do not have. We found this to be a perfect location from which to explore Provence. It was always a pleasure to come home to this villa and unwind. This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had! Jacqueline is so personable and easy to communicate with, and is also very organized in making sure we had information of the villa and the village of Lourmarin. The villa was immaculately clean and ready for us.

Just idyllic

We had a great 2 weeks stay in this peaceful retreat. The house is totally tranquil, in the oaks and lavender. The outside spaces are lovely for unwinding, and inside the decor is characterful and very homely. We couldn't have found a better place to get some rest and recharge the batteries. And we were very happy to use the piano. Highly recommended!

Extended stay in a lovely cottage

My partner and I had a gorgeous stay in the cottage , so much so we extended our stay by a few days. I believe we were the first guests and were greatly warmly to the property. The cottage is tastefully decorated, comfortable with generous outdoor space. We have stayed in numerous cottages in our time and felt the kitchen was the best equipped. Village is also pleasant with a shop, bistro and pizzeria.
