Excellent séjour au "Mas du Bourrelier" Uitstekend verblijf in "Mas du Bourrelier"

Agréable propriété au calme au milieu des vignes et face au magnifique cadre des "Dentelles de Montmirail", mais avec les commerces essentiels à proximité; la tonnelle, sous laquelle nous avons pris tous nos repas ajoute à son charme. Nos enfants et petits enfant ont particulièrement apprécié la belle piscine. Nous avons été sensibles au chaleureux accueil de nos hôtes. Nous recommanderons cette locations à nos amis.

Aangenaam pand in een rustige omgeving, omringd door wijngaarden en met uitzicht op de prachtige omgeving van de "Dentelles de Montmirail", maar met essentiële winkels in de buurt; het prieel, waaronder we al onze maaltijden aten, draagt bij aan zijn charme. Vooral onze kinderen en kleinkinderen hebben genoten van het mooie zwembad. We waren gevoelig voor het warme welkom van onze gastheren. We zullen deze locatie aanbevelen aan onze vrienden.

Amazing Villa in Provence!! Geweldige villa in de Provence !!

We had such amazing 2-week-vacations in the Provence! The Villa was stunning, the pool was great, the owners were very kind and friendly..... also, we were close to several gorgeous locations, so we could visit other cities/neighborhoods..... everything was absolutely perfect!! I totally recommend this Villa!! Me and my family loved being there!!

We hadden zulke geweldige vakanties van 2 weken in de Provence! De Villa was prachtig, het zwembad was geweldig, de eigenaren waren erg aardig en vriendelijk ..... ook, we waren dicht bij verschillende prachtige locaties, dus we konden andere steden / buurten bezoeken ..... alles was absoluut perfect! ! Ik raad deze villa absoluut aan !! Ik en mijn familie vonden het geweldig om daar te zijn !!

We were a group of friends visiting Provence for the first time.

Jean Yves was the perfect host and very accommodating. Great house for a group, pool and grounds gorgeous. Super spot to come back to after a long day exploring. Parking spot in town was an extra bonus! We could easily have stayed longer!

La maison est dans un cadre exceptionnel, en sorte, que nous n'avons pas bougé pendant une semaine. L'intérieur est spacieux, idéal pour que chaque famille ait son intimité. Les enfants étaient ravis, et la piscine parfaitement sécurisée, pour mon plus grand plaisir. Votre mas est un bijou, un vrai coup de cœur ! Nous y reviendrons :)

Vous êtes perdus dans les Alpilles mais à 10 min en voiture du centre de Saint Remy. Prévoir une voiture qui ne craint pas le chemin de pierres. L'accueil par les propriétaires est très chaleureux. Nous recommandons vivement cette location !

Excellent séjour dans le mas de Jean Yves et son épouse.

Accueil excellent. Domaine splendide, bien entretenu, avec le petit plus des œufs frais des 5 poules (Bonheur des enfants) tous les jours ! Jean Yves n’est pas avare de conseils sur les visites et bonnes adresses. À suivre car ils sont excellents. Nous le disons rarement mais nous reviendrons sûrement dans ce petit coin de paradis. Merci pour tout.

La maison est magnifique et propose de très belles prestations; la piscine et l’immense jardin sont parfaitement entretenus et propices à la détente. Tout est fait pour y passer d’agréables moments en famille. Jean-Yves et Isabelle sont des hôtes très prévenants. La région offre de nombreuses sorties possibles et les conseils de nos hôtes ont été très appréciables pour faire nos choix.

We have booked 'Chez Florette' for a 50th birthday reunion with our family. Shortly before the holidays European boarders closed for COVID-19 reasons and we cancelled the trip. Provence Holidays has shown great flexibility in moving our reservation one year ahead without any problems. We are extremely happy about this and are looking forward to having a nice vacation soon in the south of France!

We hebben 'Chez Florette' geboekt voor een 50e verjaardagsreünie met onze familie. Kort voor de vakantie sloten de Europese boarders om COVID-19 redenen en hebben we de reis geannuleerd. Provence Holidays heeft een grote flexibiliteit getoond door onze reservering zonder problemen een jaar vooruit te schuiven. Wij zijn hier ontzettend blij mee en kijken er naar uit om binnenkort een fijne vakantie te hebben in het zuiden van Frankrijk!

Magical! Magical! Magisch! Magisch!

This is a truly magical place, great central location to all the hotspots in the Luberon and beyond. We enjoyed the stay especially the view of the lavender field, and the pool right in front of us. The only negative - one week is not enough.

Dit is echt een magische plek, geweldige centrale locatie voor alle hotspots in de Luberon en daarbuiten. We hebben genoten van het verblijf, vooral het uitzicht op het lavendelveld en het zwembad recht voor ons. Het enige negatieve - een week is niet genoeg.

Lovely house in a beautiful, private location Heerlijk huis op een prachtige, privélocatie

We have been renting this property every other year or so for the past 6 years. We keep coming back because it is a magical spot. The house itself is very roomy and comfortable, and has a huge and very well-equipped kitchen for people to gather in. There are multiple places to gather outside as well, including a recently added grilling/dining/sitting area with views of the Luberon. The location is completely private, but it is within easy walking distance of the town of Goult, which has several very good restaurants and cafės, and stores carrying all the necessities. Both the owner and the property manager were extremely helpful and quick to respond to questions, etc. We will be back!

We hebben dit huis de afgelopen 6 jaar ongeveer om het jaar gehuurd. We blijven terugkomen omdat het een magische plek is. Het huis zelf is erg ruim en comfortabel, en heeft een enorme en zeer goed uitgeruste keuken waar mensen kunnen samenkomen. Er zijn ook meerdere plekken om buiten samen te komen, waaronder een onlangs toegevoegde grill/eet/zithoek met uitzicht op de Luberon. De locatie is volledig privé, maar het is op loopafstand van het stadje Goult, met verschillende zeer goede restaurants en cafés, en winkels met alle benodigdheden. Zowel de eigenaar als de beheerder waren zeer behulpzaam en reageerden snel op vragen, enz. We komen zeker terug!

Great holiday in St Remy

We had a wonderful two weeks in Villa Alpilles. The location is perfect for walking into the centre of St Remy (only a few minutes walk). The property was very welcoming and had excellent facilities. We particularly enjoyed the sauna after a long day of hiking or cycling. The property was very clean and well equipped. It was great to have use of the garage for our bikes and equipment and we loved the various outside seating areas to catch the sun at all times of the day. Would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful! Geweldig!

I have just spent 2 weeks at this beautiful property. It’s perfect for 2 families (in the main house) plus grandparents / staff (in the cottage.) My 7 year old twins loved the swimming pool, where they spent hours playing water games or practising their swimming. As adults we loved visiting the local markets and vineyards and cooking Provençal food in the evenings. Another huge plus of this property is that it has its own vineyard and you can visit Aureto where it’s wine is made. Finally you can organise a local taxi firm to take you out for dinner. The truffle restaurant in Menerbes and La Recreation in Lourmarin are superb. We will definitely be back !!

Ik heb net 2 weken doorgebracht in dit prachtige pand. Het is perfect voor 2 gezinnen (in het hoofdgebouw) plus grootouders / personeel (in het huisje.) Mijn 7-jarige tweeling hield van het zwembad, waar ze urenlang waterspelletjes speelden of hun zwemmen oefenden. Als volwassenen hielden we ervan om de lokale markten en wijngaarden te bezoeken en 's avonds Provençaals eten te koken. Een ander groot pluspunt van dit landgoed is dat het zijn eigen wijngaard heeft en dat je Aureto kunt bezoeken waar zijn wijn wordt gemaakt. Eindelijk kun je een lokaal taxibedrijf organiseren om je mee uit eten te nemen. Het truffelrestaurant in Menerbes en La Recreation in Lourmarin zijn fantastisch. We komen zeker terug !!

Chilling-out in style… Chillen in stijl ...

There are many objectives for a vacation; including - to varying degrees - unwinding, exploring an area, and enjoying times with friends. In our case, after a prolonged period of intensive work our primary focus was to unwind. However, we've decided this beautiful home is ideal for all three purposes. The perfect early September weather meant spending much of our time outside on the gorgeous terrace. It is a fabulous area where you feel both secluded and on top of the world. Beautiful elevated views across the vineyards towards the surrounding hills, attractive landscaping and comfortable furniture make it an absolute delight to just chill, gaze, and soak it all in. Before arriving we were a little curious about the dipping pool, and concerned it would be too warm to be refreshing. In fact it’s a perfect temperature for cooling down and taking in the views; especially at the end of a long hot day. Inside, the house is exquisitely furnished including some great artwork, and really well-equipped. Nothing is wanting at all - and the bed is super-comfortable too! Everything you need to eat and drink well is close by. We loved the market shopping at nearby Coustellet; buying Cavaillon melons (purported to be the best!), tapenade, cheeses, olive oil, wonderful fruit & vegetables and trying a few wines. We also went to several local restaurants; including Ménerbe’s own ‘Le 5’ - a real treat! Plus of course the nearby salon du thé ‘Chez Auzet’ complete with its sweet delicacies, where over your morning coffee and treat you can partake in some people watching: both tourists and locals! Like us, you'll inevitably need to do lots of walking to try and off-set some of the indulgences! We could very easily have spent all week just in Ménerbes; chilling out on the terrace with wineglass in hand and an occasional ‘sortie’ to explore the immediate environs - preferably on foot! However, Provence is a new domain for us, so we did venture out to explore the region. And there are such interesting choices in every direction. If you’re fond of the arts, there are numerous galleries to choose from. And a visit to the extraordinary ‘son et lumière’ at the Carrières Lumières nearby St Remy de Provence is a must. This season, Picasso is featured like you have never seen him before. Followed by a fabulous lunch at a St Remy restaurant (details in the house ‘guest book’). There is a range of local musical offerings as well: one magical evening in the chapel of the nearby Abbaye de St Hilaire we enjoyed a delightful concert featuring (amongst other items) the 3rd part of Handel’s Mass. And if wine-tasting is your personal vice - then as well as numerous local Provençale vineyards supported by limitless tasting options at Ménerbes ‘Maison de la Truffe et du Vin’ just 200m away - then less than an hour’s drive away you’re amongst southern Rhone treasures such as Chateauneuf du Pape, Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas… Other places to visit include the 2000 year old Pont du Gard near Avignon, the famous Calanques at Cassis, Gordes...the visit list is almost endless! During our stay we talked about how much fun it would be to return and share this home with friends. It is perfectly set up for two or three couples, with great convivial social spaces - but also secluded spots for a quiet retreat. In fact I'm drafting this review sitting in a comfy chair by an open French door, enjoying a gentle breeze and, yes - that view! What more can we say? The only downside of being here: our stay is near its end and tomorrow we must leave!

Er zijn veel doelen voor een vakantie; inclusief - in verschillende mate - tot rust komen, een gebied verkennen en genieten van momenten met vrienden. In ons geval was het na een lange periode van intensief werken onze primaire focus om te ontspannen. We hebben echter besloten dat dit prachtige huis ideaal is voor alle drie de doeleinden. Het perfecte weer in begin september betekende dat we veel van onze tijd buiten op het prachtige terras doorbrachten. Het is een fantastisch gebied waar je je zowel afgezonderd als op de top van de wereld voelt. Prachtig verhoogd uitzicht over de wijngaarden naar de omliggende heuvels, aantrekkelijke landschapsarchitectuur en comfortabel meubilair maken het een absoluut genot om gewoon te chillen, te staren en alles in je op te nemen. Voordat we aankwamen waren we een beetje nieuwsgierig naar het dompelbad, en bezorgd dat het zou zijn te warm om verfrissend te zijn. In feite is het een perfecte temperatuur om af te koelen en van het uitzicht te genieten; vooral aan het einde van een lange warme dag. Binnen is het huis voortreffelijk ingericht, inclusief een aantal geweldige kunstwerken, en echt goed uitgerust. Er ontbreekt niets - en het bed is ook nog eens supercomfortabel! Alles wat u nodig heeft om goed te eten en te drinken is dichtbij. We hielden van het winkelen op de markt in het nabijgelegen Coustellet; Cavaillon-meloenen kopen (naar verluidt de beste!), tapenade, kazen, olijfolie, heerlijke groenten en fruit en een paar wijnen proberen. We gingen ook naar verschillende lokale restaurants; waaronder Ménerbe's eigen 'Le 5' - een echte traktatie! Plus natuurlijk de nabijgelegen salon du thé 'Chez Auzet' compleet met zijn zoete lekkernijen, waar je tijdens je ochtendkoffie en traktatie kunt genieten van wat mensen kijken: zowel toeristen als de lokale bevolking! Net als wij zul je onvermijdelijk veel moeten lopen om te proberen een aantal van de aflaten te compenseren! We hadden heel gemakkelijk de hele week in Ménerbes kunnen doorbrengen; chillen op het terras met wijnglas in de hand en af en toe een 'sortie' om de directe omgeving te verkennen - bij voorkeur te voet! De Provence is echter een nieuw domein voor ons, dus we zijn er op uit gegaan om de regio te verkennen. En er zijn zulke interessante keuzes in elke richting. Als je van kunst houdt, zijn er tal van galerijen om uit te kiezen. En een bezoek aan de buitengewone 'son et lumière' aan de Carrières Lumières nabij St Remy de Provence is een must. Dit seizoen is Picasso te zien zoals je hem nog nooit hebt gezien. Gevolgd door een fantastische lunch in een St Remy-restaurant (details in het 'gastenboek' van het huis). Er is ook een scala aan lokaal muzikaal aanbod: op een magische avond in de kapel van de nabijgelegen Abbaye de St Hilaire genoten we van een heerlijk concert met (onder andere) het derde deel van Händels Mis. En als wijnproeven jouw persoonlijke is vice - dan naast tal van lokale Provençaalse wijngaarden ondersteund door grenzeloze proeverijen in Ménerbes 'Maison de la Truffe et du Vin' op slechts 200 meter afstand - en op minder dan een uur rijden bevindt u zich tussen de schatten van de zuidelijke Rhône, zoals Chateauneuf du Pape, Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas… Andere plaatsen om te bezoeken zijn de 2000 jaar oude Pont du Gard bij Avignon, de beroemde Calanques bij Cassis, Gordes ... de lijst met bezoeken is bijna eindeloos! Tijdens ons verblijf hebben we gepraat over hoe leuk het zou zijn om terug te keren en dit huis met vrienden te delen. Het is perfect opgezet voor twee of drie stellen, met geweldige gezellige sociale ruimtes - maar ook afgelegen plekken voor een rustig toevluchtsoord. In feite ben ik deze recensie aan het opstellen terwijl ik in een comfortabele stoel bij een open Franse deur zit, genietend van een zacht briesje en, ja - dat uitzicht! Wat kunnen we nog meer zeggen? Het enige nadeel van hier zijn: ons verblijf loopt op zijn einde en morgen moeten we vertrekken!

Perfect Perfect

We returned from Cabrières enchanted by our stay in this beautiful home, and in this beautiful and well preserved region. We and our children fell in love with it. The preparation of the house and the running of it made everything so easy, from first contact to handing back the keys at the moment of departure.

We keerden terug uit Cabrières, betoverd door ons verblijf in dit prachtige huis, en in deze prachtige en goed bewaarde regio. Wij en onze kinderen werden er verliefd op. De voorbereiding van het huis en het runnen ervan maakten alles zo gemakkelijk, van het eerste contact tot het overhandigen van de sleutels op het moment van vertrek.
