Crestet, Mont Ventoux

This small picturesque medieval village full of charm bears his name well. It stands perched on a crest at the extreme north of the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range. Before arriving at the Crestet, you will see the old village stretched proudly on the ridge, facing the Mont Ventoux.

What makes this village special?

Once in the village, walk through its charming alleyways and  will see at the end of this square, the medieval XII century castle, former residence of the bishops of Vaison-la-Romaine. Today the castle is a private property, so unfortunately you will not be able to visit it. But the small medieval village contains other treasures, you will not be able to miss the church St Sauveur of the XI ° with its houses grouped wisely around the building as to protect itself. You should not leave Crestet without climbing to the highest point of the village. From there you will have a fantastic panoramic view of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the breathtaking Mont Ventoux.
