Highly recommended, beautiful house,super location

Exceptional property, situated beside two picturesque villages. Excellent facilities for all age groups, spacious for extended family members. Perfect location for nature lovers, several forest walks close by. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.

Very Happy...

The wife of the house is very friendly. She speaks fluently English, born in England as a child, so that made it much easier.You can't get anything better if you are looking for a Provencal romantic living. If I ever go back to Baux de Provence it with this couple holiday home I will stay if possible. There is absolutely nothing to dislike.

Fantastic Property

We were fortunate enough to spend three weeks in Bonnieux. We pleasantly found the home to be far more equipped, clean, and spacious than noted on the website. There is a beautiful stone "cave' with a flat screen television off the kitchen that was a delightful surprise! The whole feel of the property is unique: excellent artwork hung throughout, warm and traditional French kitchen, impeccable gardens and elaborate stone walls and pathways, and a daily view of the Provence from the deck, offering incredible sunsets. The pool offers complete privacy and enough shade for the hot summer days. Staying for a longer period of time, we were very happy to the caretakers responded immediately to any questions regarding use of washing machine, pool maintenance, etc. The house is 100% ready, and has everything you need from a salad spinner to a food processor to sharp knives, towels and beautiful soaps. The location of the house in the village is perfect, a touch off of the beaten path so you feel as if you're in the country, but one minute walk to everything! The village is charming and interesting, yet not overrun with tourism like several of the nearby villages, all worth a visit. We will definitely return and recommend it 100%!

WOW!

We had a fabulous week in this gorgeous provincial home. Lovely decor, clean and spacious. It accommodated all our needs and was in a very convenient location with only a short walk to Restaurants and shops. A terrace with amazing views and a delightful garden to enjoy and relax in. On arrival we were met by the friendly caretaker who was on call during our stay if we needed any assistance. We would love to return to Bonnieux and would certainly recommend this house for a very comfortable stay.

A week in Paradise

My cousin booked Mas de Cabrieres for family to stay in for my Uncle and Aunt's 60th wedding anniversary. Myself and 3 siblings and our partners from three continents and my 91 year old spent a wonderful week in this spectacular home. It had everything and more than we needed and was exceptionally well looked after and well equipped. The owner even called us all the way from Sweden to check everything was in order - what a wonderful gesture. The village and surrounding area was a wonderful place to explore and there were lots of books in the house to guide us. We would definitely return and would recommend the house and area to others. Everything one needed in terms of shops and restaurants was very close by. We also loved our morning runs in the area. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT STAY

Perfect week in Provence

I smile every time I think of our week in Lourmarin. It’s a charming “postcard” village that has so much to offer. Very quiet, very safe and so beautiful. There is great food (casual bistros to Michelin caliber), galleries, shops, cobblestone streets, a 10/10 bakery and very friendly people. As beautiful as Lourmarin is our stay was made magnificent by staying in Harald’s house. This was our first time in Provence and we were thrilled with the house. We were a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and we had 2 guests visit us during our stay. Where to begin? The perfect quiet location, the comfy beds, the gourmet kitchen, the lovely manicured garden with boules court and POOL, the walkout patio for memorable family meals and glasses of wine. It gets better! The house comes with Adam who lives nearby and who is always available to guests of the house. Consider him the local host. He is the nicest person and has great recommendations on what to do, where to eat, you name it. Back to Lourmarin. The bakery is a 1 minute walk away from the house and its fantastic. The heart of the vilIage is a 2 minute walk from the house where you can have a coffee, glass of wine, meal, shop or just people watch. Our favorites: Favourite restaurant was Numero 9. By far! Great hosts and spectacular food. Our favourite casual was cafe gaby. Friendly service, good food and great people watching. Lourmarin has a market on Friday morning which is spectacular. Do not miss! There is also a Thai restaurant about 5 minutes away by car that is incredible. Delicious food! From Lourmarin you can easily visit other beautiful villages. Our favourites were Gordes and Roussillon. If you are looking for a special home in a special village then you will be very happy here.

Marvellous!

We have stayed in many places in France but the Luberon pulls us back everytime. This house and setting is the best we have found. I can say that in this book but would love to keep it a secret ! Being amongst the trees, the views and having so much sky has been truly wonderful. Johanne and her team have helped us at any moment with effective communication. We love this property and (many people say this) we do plan to return.

A perfect base for visiting Lourmarin and Provence

We've stayed in this house over and over - a perfect house in a lovely setting, and the pool is the best we've ever found! Lourmarin, only minutes away, is charming and is a great place to drink, eat, and watch the world go by. There are lots of other nearby villages worth exploring, and access to Provence and even the Carmargue is easy. Whether you want to spend your holiday lazing around the pool and daydreaming in Lourmarin, or to use your days exploring, this house is strongly recommended!

Maison.. Magnifique!

What a delightful haven in the Luberon this is! This was our second visit in 3 years to this wonderful house in a superb location. The owners present a beautifully appointed house that met all of our needs. It is comfortable inside with all the essentials that a top-quality house can provide. The outside areas - dining table, casual seating, pool area, all provide places to relax or socialise as you wish. The owners are charming and helpful (although we have never met them), and the caretaker is attentive to every question and was very keen to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Being so close to the best village in this area is another big plus. We could not wish for a better place to enjoy a holiday in Southern Provence.

Perfect

Beautiful stay

We were a group of 4 with a 5 month old baby. Villa Alpilles was absolutely perfect. An easy walk into town it was so nice to sit around with cheese and wine in the afternoon sun by the pool. The house was very well equipped and everything we needed for baby was provided also - kettle, cot, baby bath. We had a wonderful stay.

Une superbe propriétée avec pleins de charme et beaucoup de caractère

Une superbe villa au milieu des vignes donc sans vis-à-vis, avec tout ce qu'il vous faut pour passer un séjour relaxant aussi bien en famille qu'avec des amis. Proprio sympas et à l'écoute du locataire, à quelques minutes de la villa donc dispo rapidement pour assister en cas de probleme.

Fantastic Villa, exceeded expectations

If you are looking for a luxurious break away from it all, then this is the place for you. Nestled on the side of a mountain overlooking St. Tropez the views are breathtaking, totally secluded but not far from the local village and within easy reach of places where you can rub shoulders with the rich and famous while partying the night away. Personally I found it hard to drag myself away from the luxury of the villa. The choice is yours. The villa is stunning. A myriad of beautiful elegant rooms in a perfect setting, equipped with everything you could ever need (and more), the kitchen was to die for. Nothing has been overlooked. If you want to go out & explore, the information manual tells you all about the surrounding areas and the best places to go. If you need more information the owners are happy to help. I can't recommend Villa Freinet highly enough, I didn't want to leave & I can't wait to return next year.

Our Home from Home

We did not want to leave. We spent a wonderful week here enjoying this magical place. We really tried to explore the darling little towns all around but at the end of the day the peace and beauty of the property made them all pale in comparison, and we found we could not wait to get HOME again. By the end of the week we were living in the lovely pool, we are so very sad to leave this beautiful place and planning our return, with family and friends. We were taken such good care of and have so many wonderful memories.

Highly recommended

Most of all we liked Elizabeth’s and Michael’s hospitality and then there is this gorgeous garden with all conveniences imaginable, the heated pool. Their suggestions were most helpful. And of course there was impeccable Wi-Fi and TV but who would need that while at the Maison de Paradou... There was nothing we did not like. Basically we didn’t want to leave.

My Idea of Heaven

This house is absolutely stunning, a rare find. The sort you think you may only see in magazines. I was surrounded by french elegance and style and loved padding along the original stone floors pretending I lived there. I never really wanted to venture far because it was just so lovely right there. Pure luxury envelopes you, I felt like a princess. My bedroom was a tranquil haven, scented with freshly picked lavender and beautifully decorated in white and beautiful grey with incredible views across the vines up to Joucas. Poke your head out of the window at night and enjoy the fresh air of Provence! The rain-shower and supersoft white towels, a spa like treat. The pool is fabulous, set away from the house with open views of the hills soaring up around you, with only crickets for company. A very special stay.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It feels both 'removed from it all' while also ideally located in the Luberon with access to beautiful villages. The well equipped kitchen, many beautiful relaxing areas and artistic touches in the house were particularly appreciated. Extra special thanks to the property managers, Mark and Krissy, who were very welcoming and professional, and went out of their way to make sure everything was in order.
