The Sainte-Marie vineyard extends over 40 hectares of south-facing, sandy soil composed of schist, micaschist and quartz. The gentle slopes and Mediterranean climate, hot and dry in summer with cool nights, favor balanced ripening of the grapes. Vegetation cover is maintained for as long as possible, with natural upkeep ensured in particular by the passage of sheep. The vineyard is integrated into a wooded environment of cork oak, pine and arbutus, contributing to a rich biodiversity. The estate is certified to level 3 of High Environmental Value. Over twelve grape varieties are grown, including grenache, cinsault, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, mourvèdre, rolle and ugni blanc, with an average vine age of around 35 years.

Since 1940, this family estate has been cultivating its vines on the seafront, in an environment marked by a long agricultural tradition. The vineyards are planted on two distinct terroirs: one in the immediate vicinity of the sea, the other on slopes with predominantly schist soils, bringing complementary expressions to the wines. Committed to an environmentally-friendly approach, the estate uses no synthetic chemicals and cultivates its vines biodynamically, certified Demeter since 2021. All this reflects an approach focused on terroir, the preservation of natural balances and the quality of the wines.

In search of his first vineyard, Marcel Ott, a young Alsatian agronomist, journeyed as far as the sun-scorched landscapes of Algeria. It was ultimately in Provence—captivated by its light, its beauty, and the gentle presence of the Mediterranean—that he chose to settle in 1896, encouraged by his wife Elisabeth. Patiently, he came to understand the depth and complexity of this historic terroir before acquiring Château de Selle in 1912. With a clear and ambitious vision, he began shaping the estate with precision and care, determined to reveal the full nobility of Provençal wines. Clos Mireille and Château Romassan would later follow, developed with the same unwavering commitment to excellence. A pioneer of his time, Marcel Ott introduced a philosophy rooted in respect—for the land, for the vine, and for time itself. Low yields, meticulous craftsmanship, and a deep connection to nature became the foundation of a signature style: to do less, but to do it better. A vision that continues to resonate today. In 1932, this vision took on a new form. Marcel entrusted his son René with the creation of a bottle that would embody the spirit of Provence. Inspired by the region’s cypress trees and ancient amphorae, its silhouette remains an enduring icon—instantly recognisable, unmistakably Ott. Today, the Ott family continues this legacy with the same dedication: crafting rosé, white, and red wines of precision and elegance, each expressing a distinct facet of Provence through its terroir and microclimate.

Located in Bormes-les-Mimosas, this estate extends over 42 hectares in a single block, between sea and hills, in a preserved environment protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Right next to the sea, the vines benefit from a Mediterranean microclimate marked by mild winters, temperate summers and plenty of sunshine. The Mistral wind helps to naturally purify the plots and limit the risks associated with humidity. This balance between maritime influence, sun and wind structures the development of the grapes and contributes to the identity of the domaine's wines.

Located in La Londe-les-Maures, this family-run winery is set in the heart of a Mediterranean terroir that benefits from plenty of sunshine and a maritime influence favorable to vine-growing.
