Château Saint-Pierre de Mejans
The estate's winegrowing history dates back to the 12th century, with the arrival of Benedictine monks who developed long-term vine cultivation around the priory. Today, the estate continues this tradition, using methods that respect the terroir.
The white and red wines are harvested by hand. Each stage of the winemaking process is carefully monitored to preserve the quality of the grapes and express the characteristics of the different grape varieties.
The domaine's wines have been certified organic since 2024, confirming its commitment to environmentally-friendly viticulture.
The estate offers guided tours of the vineyards and the history of the site, whose origins date back to the 12th century. The tour includes the Romanesque chapel, as well as elements linked to the presence of monks and Templars.
The tour ends with a tasting of five of the estate's wines, held in a dedicated setting. This step allows you to explore the characteristics of the different cuvées.
Several complementary experiences are offered on site. Visitors can enjoy a picnic of local produce in the gardens or among the vines. Introductory wine workshops are also organized to provide a better understanding of tasting methods and pairings.
These experiences can include a selection of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, accompanied by a glass of wine, in a landscaped outdoor environment.
