The vineyards stretch across the Luberon massif and the southern slopes of the Monts de Vaucluse, following the relief of hills and valleys right up to the riverbanks. This varied location contributes to the diversity of the terroirs.
Vines grow alongside other local crops such as cherries, olives, truffles, lavender and market gardening. This agricultural diversity contributes to the identity of the landscape and the balance of the territory.
The vineyards are punctuated by characteristic villages such as Lacoste, Ménerbes, Oppède, Bonnieux, Saignon, Lourmarin and Cucuron. These villages remain active thanks to local agriculture, notably the production of cherries, olive oil and truffles, while attracting visitors interested in a preserved environment.
Located in the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, the area evolves with the seasons, with variations in light, color and landscape that influence the setting and conditions of production.
Between the Luberon to the south and the Ventoux to the north, Marrenon's vineyards benefit from varied natural conditions. There's plenty of sunshine, tempered by the altitude and temperature differences linked to the proximity of the Southern Alps. Limestone soils, gentle slopes and the influence of the Mistral wind help to structure this terroir.
The diversity of soils, notably composed of limestone scree, pebbles and saffron, favors the cultivation of adapted grape varieties such as Syrah and Grenache for the reds, and Vermentino for the whites.
Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, classified as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO, the vineyards are part of a preserved environment. The winegrowers work on a parcel-by-parcel basis, with attention paid to every stage, from vine cultivation to vinification, to guarantee the quality of the cuvées produced.
