Château Minuty

AN ESTATE IN THE HEART OF THE SAINT-TROPEZ PENINSULA
Set on the hillsides of Gassin and Ramatuelle, Château Minuty enjoys a privileged position overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, shaped by the constant influence of the Mediterranean.
The vineyard unfolds across exceptional terroirs. In Gassin, 65 hectares of vines thrive on limestone soils in a single, contiguous plot. In Ramatuelle, within the Val de Rian, 15 hectares overlook the Bay of Pampelonne. Further inland, 120 hectares extend across sandy and clay soils in Le Cannet-des-Maures and Vidauban, home to Domaine de Châteauneuf and Bastide de Verez.
A VINEYARD SHAPED BY TERROIR
Each grape variety is thoughtfully planted in the part of the estate where it can best express its character.
Around the Château, deep, rock-free soils are dedicated to Grenache. Sun-drenched, southwest-facing plots welcome Syrah and Mourvèdre, destined for red wines. In more stony, chalk-rich areas, ideal for minerality, Rolle finds its natural expression.
With a southeastern exposure and constant maritime influence, the entire vineyard benefits from sea breezes that lend the wines a delicate saline signature. The offshore winds help keep the vines dry and healthy, preserving their balance and purity.
SOUTHERN VARIETIES, REVEALED
Grenache, which represents 60% of the vineyard, is the cornerstone of the estate. Originally from Spain and once associated with powerful reds, it has become the defining grape of Côtes de Provence rosés—expressing aromatic intensity, silkiness, and elegance. The Farnet-Matton family quickly recognized its potential to craft refined, expressive wines.
Alongside Grenache, the estate cultivates a rich palette of southern varieties:
For rosés: Cinsault, valued for its finesse; Tibouren, a discreet yet emblematic local variety; and Syrah, bringing structure and depth.
For whites: Rolle, a signature Var grape grown here for generations, alongside Sémillon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, adding complexity and freshness.
For reds: Mourvèdre, with its spicy character, and Syrah, known for its intensity and depth.
