Domaine d'Eole
The estate has been farmed organically since 1996, with particular attention paid to preserving the environment and biodiversity.
Phytosanitary treatments are limited to the use of sulfur and copper, as part of a traditional approach, while weedkillers are replaced by mechanical working of the soil, including plowing and manual maintenance.
The aim of all these practices is to support natural balances, reducing intervention to the bare essentials, with a view to sustainability and respect for the terroir.
The estate's terroirs are the result of a balance between the Mediterranean climate, the influence of the Mistral wind, the composition of the soils combining limestone pebbles and clay, and the right choice of grape varieties and rootstocks.
Vineyard management aims to control yields and preserve the health of the vines, with pruning adapted to each plot, in particular cordon de Royat or gobelet pruning depending on the grape variety.
The estate is also committed to an environmental approach, with the use of renewable energies, the reduction of bottle weight to limit carbon footprint, and the implementation of actions to promote biodiversity, such as tree planting and the installation of bat nesting boxes.
The whole process is based on a precise approach, where technical and environmental choices contribute to the quality of the wines.
