Sainte-Maxime, Côte d'Azur

Between Saint-Tropez and Fréjus, Sainte-Maxime is a very elegant seaside resort. Choosing Sainte-Maxime for your holidays means enjoying strolling around town and on the seafront, lazing on the terrace of a café and choosing to go to the beach, for lazing around or practicing water sports.

What makes this village special?

Sheltered from the winds by the last foothills of the Massif des Maures, Sainte-Maxime is a popular resort for its climate and the beauty of its beaches. The city has seven, some of which are located in the center, and there is something for everyone! Don't miss La Nartelle beach, one of the most beautiful in the area! The most famous has a priori a curious name: Elephant Beach! But everything is explained when you learn that Jean de Brunhoff, the famous creator of Babar stayed in this elegant resort!

Just before Nartelle beach, don't miss Pointe des Sardinaux! This natural and wild peninsula, which is nicknamed "little Corsica", is a real haven of peace! Picnicking in the shade of the pines, observing shells and crustaceans in the rocks are relaxing activities that will delight young and old. It is also possible to go diving there.

A walk in the old town allows you to discover its cobbled streets, always lively, its museums, its art galleries and the pretty art deco residences. Shopping in Sainte-Maxime is a delight: there are no less than four local food markets, to delight the taste buds! A flower market takes place every Sunday morning, and a craftsmen's and painters' market takes place in the center in summer.

As far as leisure is concerned, young and old will be won over: the city offers a multitude of sports activities related to the sea – kayaking, boating, parasailing, water skiing, jet skis… or with nature – tree climbing, yoga , mountain biking or e-bikes, adventure trails, horse riding, golf… Sainte-Maxime definitely has everything you need to seduce you!
