What makes this village special?

Sainte-Anne, which is part of the hamlets of Le Castellet with Le Plan du Castellet, Le Brûlat and Le Camp du Castellet, is a destination from which many trails start. Hiking is very popular in the area. Don't miss the Chemin des Oratoires, which offers a lovely walk in the middle of the countryside among the vineyards. This hamlet is the one with the most oratories in the Var. It owes its name to the miraculous chapel dedicated to Sainte-Anne, built in 1672 following the vision of a peasant. The chapel is out of the village. In the center of Sainte-Anne is a beautiful, cool and shady square where you can play pétanque.

Nearby is the famous Paul-Ricard circuit which attracts motorcycle and car racing enthusiasts and many curious people. He is also interested in runners since he is organizing a Mud Girl this year, the female version of Mud Day, the famous obstacle course.

From Sainte-Anne, you cannot miss a visit to Le Castellet. This village is a very tourist destination and a must. Perched at the top of a rocky promontory, it is the small Provençal village par excellence. Its flowery squares lined with pretty old houses, its sloping alleys, which offer breathtaking views at every turn, its fortifications and its 12th century church, everything invites you to stroll.

The village is also a famous place of shopping. Between the arts and crafts workshops and the many shops, you will have plenty of time to shop and bring back a product from Provence.

Le Castellet also offers many restaurants and cafes with shaded and welcoming terraces. It is good to rest there while watching the tourists stroll through the village.
