Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, Cote d'Azur / French Riviera

Between land and sea, Le Rayol-Canadel stretches out in a natural circle of greenery. Go to the round pergola of the Patec . Y ou will discover a magnificent view of the sea and the Iles d' Or : from left to right, Le Levant, Port-Cros, the islet of Bagaud and in the background behind Cap Bénat, the island of Porquerolles. Starting from this point of view, descend the monumental schist stone staircase of the Massif des Maures which will lead you majestically to the beach.

Come and recharge your batteries at the Domaine du Rayol, a protected natural space of 20 hectares at the foot of the Massif des Maures . Explore the Mediterranean gardens of landscape architect Gilles Clement it's traveling to the four corners of the world with breathtaking views. Everything has been done to welcome visitors in search of nature : guided tours, exhibitions, workshops and training on gardening and medicinal plants, tree nursery, specialist bookstore, café-restaurant.

Discover the Maures forest, the maquis and tree species through magnificent panoramic routes. Choose your ride from sea level to reach the crests of the Col du Canadel, at 267 meters above sea level. Walk the winding paths, supported by the ancient dry stone walls dating back more than a century and enjoy the varied scents of the plants and flowers that perfume the air.

The market in the Rayol district is held every Friday morning, Place Michel Goy. You will find fish and seafood there.

Places to visit on holiday from Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer

Take advantage of your stay to visit Le L avandou, a very pleasant town by the sea where you will find many cafes, restaurants and shops. This former fishing village attracts as much for its sea side as for its land side.

Let yourself be tempted by a hike to the Château des Seigneurs de Fos which marks the Pointe Haute de Bormes. The property being private, the castle can be visited . Nevertheless, the panoramic views from the observation deck reward visitors.

The commune of La Croix Valmer invites you to discover the marine path of the Crocodile Island in the cove of Jovat, on the preserved coast of Cap Lardier. Go on an adventure with family or friends !
