What makes this village special?
La Roque-sur-Pernes was an important village in the Middle Ages. It has retained its air of yesteryear, with its cobbled and winding streets, its shaded square with its fountain, its Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul church. Its 11th century castle has been restored several times but cannot be visited. It still dominates the town, as if to protect it from possible assailants.
As the region is magnificent, hiking, cycling or horse riding are highly recommended. The landscapes are breathtaking, and the surrounding villages to be discovered without fail: Le Beaucet, Saint-Didier, Pernes-les-Fontaines and Venasque.
