Grambois, Luberon

Located in the regional natural park of Luberon, 6 kilometers from La Tour-d'Aigues, Grambois is a perched village, which has retained its charm and authenticity. It has a rich historical heritage and offers magnificent scenery that has not escaped the notice of film directors!

What makes this village special?

The village dates from the 11th century and it was in the 14th century that it became one of the 12 fortresses of Provence because it occupied a strategic site and acquired powerful enclosures. A walk in Grambois allows you to admire its Romanesque church, Notre-Dame de Beauvoir, the gate of the ramparts, a former stately home from the 16th century, a vaulted passage called "of the Templars" and even one of the last cavalier steps of the region !

With its cobbled and flowery streets, its fountain, its squares and its old restored stone houses, the village is an ideal film set! This is where Yves Robert shot several scenes from My Father's Glory , an adaptation of Marcel Pagnol's famous novel.

When you are in Grambois, the Grand Luberon massif stands before you at 1,125 meters above sea level. This is an opportunity to become aware of the eminently strategic position of the village. And to follow paths and paths around the village in order to appreciate unforgettable points of view!

Finally, the village is strongly marked by the presence of artists and craftsmen. You will find knives, sculptures, corkscrews, lights and lots of gift ideas made in the Luberon! A workshop offers courses in artistic expression for young and old.
