Bormes-les-Mimosas, Cote d'Azur / French Riviera

Between Hyères and Le Lavandou, this hilltop village steeped in history, one of the most flowery and beautiful in France, has a coast bordered by beaches and magnificent creeks. All summer activities are available there, enough to spend a successful holiday!

What makes this village special?

Old houses with pink tiles, richly flowered alleys, ramparts and the ruins of a castle, the village is often compared to a Provencal crib. It immediately seduces and offers a breathtaking view of the plain and the Golden Islands: Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Strolling there is a real delight, discovering the many small shops, cafes and restaurants! History buffs will be interested in the monuments of the medieval village, built at different times: the chapels and the Saint-Trophyme church, as well as the castle of the Lords of Fos, the highest point of the village, from where the panorama is without equal. Art lovers should not miss the Arts and History museum, which houses a very fine collection of paintings and sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the Maison des Artistes, a pretty Provencal hut which hosts temporary exhibitions. Access to the seaside is through the pine forest and vineyards. The beautiful calanques and beaches await you: Cabasson, Estagnol, Pellegrin and Favière, you will be spoiled for choice. To not miss any, plan a walk on the coastal path. From there, you can contemplate the fort of Brégançon, the official resort of the Presidents of the Republic, which stands on a rocky peak about thirty meters above sea level. It is possible to visit it. Hiking, cycling, horseback riding, water sports and activities, tennis… all activities are available to allow you to exercise and spend the most beautiful summer!
