La Playa des Anges

At Playa, the focus is on ease and comfort at the water’s edge. The beach club combines pebble-toned mattresses, taupe parasols, a wooden terrace and a mix of brick-red sails, synthetic grass paths and plant-filled corners, giving the site a practical but unusual character. The welcome is warm, the team is attentive and the mood stays light without becoming overdone. Guests can move between the sunbeds, swims and drinks with the sea breeze doing most of the work. The setting is slightly set back from the busiest stretches, which gives the place a calmer rhythm and a clearer sense of space.

The restaurant

The restaurant serves local, seasonal cuisine with a strong focus on fresh produce and shareable plates. The menu includes finger food such as zucchini flower fritters, summer black truffle panisse, Playa-style octopus salad, tapas, Iberian charcuterie and a Hokkaido platter with nigiri, maki and sashimi. Starters range from Caesar salad Playa style and burrata with tomatoes to salmon tartare poke bowl, red tuna tartare, sashimi and bo bun. Main dishes include cod fish and chips, grilled squid, prawn wok, grilled prawns, fresh tagliatelle with vongole, grilled sea bass or bream, Angus beef tagliata, Playa beef burger and several beef tartare versions. Children have their own options, and desserts include the Madagascar, the Chicago, Paris-Brest and the Finger. A Sunday brunch is also available, which gives the restaurant another reason to draw a local crowd.
