Chez mon Jules
Mont Ventoux > Vesc
Housed in a wood-panelled interior, decorated with carefully-crafted antiques, the restaurant offers a menu rooted in local cuisine, with a particular emphasis on seasonal produce. Dishes on offer include homemade caillette with foie gras or Dieulefit's lacquered pork belly, served with local vegetables. During the warmer months, the terrace offers shaded seating under canisses, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.
Located in the village of Vesc, "Chez mon Jules" was created in 2001 by Jules and Alexandra Duguet, who chose the region for the quality and proximity of its produce. Jules works directly with local producers, and also sources his own produce. His approach is bistronomic, with an emphasis on seasonal produce, often organic, and vegetarian options. The dining room has a retro feel, with vinyl records adding to the atmosphere. From spring to late summer, the terrace opens up for alfresco dining with views of the valley and surrounding hills. Upstairs, four guest rooms have been converted from the former inn. Breakfast is served on the terrace, with unobstructed views from the rooms.
