Located in Vallauris - Golfe-Juan, So Beach offers deckchairs facing the Mediterranean and a simple setup for spending the day by the water. The sunbeds are arranged in pairs with a parasol between them, and the beach service allows guests to eat without leaving their mattress. The atmosphere is intimate and works well for couples or families, while sunset brings a livelier programme with salsa nights and themed evenings such as White, Caribbean and Hawaiian. The décor follows a Balinese line, with raw wood, handcrafted pieces and turquoise umbrellas that echo the sea without overdoing it.
The restaurant
The restaurant focuses on Mediterranean dishes made with fresh produce and local fish. The menu includes cold starters such as So Bowls, Caesar salad and roasted goat cheese with truffle honey, followed by sea-led main dishes such as bluefin tuna tataki, linguine alle vongole and salmon fillet en papillote, with vegetarian options also available. For dessert, the chef recommends Champagne Gourmand, pavlova or crème brûlée, and a scoop of homemade ice cream is available for a lighter finish. The restaurant is designed for sharing, but the menu does the talking.
