Golf de l’Estérel in Saint-Raphaël
Located in the Valescure district of Saint-Raphaël, at the foot of the Estérel massif, the Golf de l’Estérel offers a setting shaped by pine trees and the surrounding landscape. The course is accessible throughout the year and is situated around thirty minutes from Cannes.
### A course for all levels
The golf club includes twenty-seven holes, with an eighteen-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and a nine-hole academic course created by Jeremy Pern. This combination allows players of different levels to practise and play within the same site.
A practice area of nearly three hundred metres is also available, providing space for training and technical work.
The Golf de l’Estérel combines established course design with a setting typical of the Riviera’s inland landscape.
A RENEWED COURSE IN SAINT-RAPHAËL
Since the first of January two thousand and twenty-four, the City of Saint-Raphaël has taken over full management of the Golf de l’Estérel, with the aim of restoring the site and ensuring its long-term upkeep.
An investment of five million euros excluding tax has been allocated to a comprehensive renovation programme led by Alejandro Reyes, who contributed to the redevelopment of Le Golf National for the Ryder Cup in two thousand and eighteen and to the Golf Simone project for the two thousand and twenty-three edition.
Over seventeen months, the course underwent significant upgrades, including a complete overhaul of the irrigation system, teeing areas, bunkers and cart paths, as well as the restoration of water hazards.
Today, the Golf de l’Estérel presents a course aligned with international standards, supported by ongoing management from the local authority to maintain its condition over time.
