Château de Pampelonne
Côte d'Azur / French Riviera > Ramatuelle
The Château de Pampelonne vineyard is entirely located in the Côtes de Provence PDO, benefiting from a mild climate and constant sunshine.
Spread over 50 hectares, it is planted mainly on sandy soils, combined with a marked maritime influence, favoring gradual, balanced ripening of the grapes.
The grape varieties include rolle and ugni blanc for the whites, and grenache, syrah, carignan, cinsault, tibouren, mourvèdre and cabernet sauvignon for the reds. The proportion varies according to the vintage.
Certified High Environmental Value since 2018, the estate is committed to limiting the impact of agricultural practices on the environment and preserving natural balances.
The vineyard extends over 50 hectares, mostly composed of sandy soils combined with a strong maritime influence, favoring gradual ripening of the grapes. The grape varieties, adapted to the Mediterranean climate, are harvested in part by hand.
The grape varieties include rolle and ugni blanc for the whites, grenache and syrah for the reds, and a blend of grenache, syrah, carignan, cinsault, tibouren and mourvèdre for the rosés. Proportions vary according to the vintage.
Harvesting takes place partly at night to preserve aromas. Red wines undergo a two- to three-week maceration, followed by barrel ageing. Rosés and whites are made by direct pressing, with temperature-controlled fermentation.
The wines are then aged on fine lees for several months before filtration and bottling.
