Experience Provence with Marine - one of the newest faces at Provence Holidays and a true believer that life in the South of France should feel like a holiday all year round.

Since joining the team in March, Marine has been busy promoting Provence Holidays across the region, sharing our villas with local communities, creating website content that brings our experiences to life, and helping to open our brand-new agency in Sainte-Maxime, where she will soon be based.

A bit about Marine

What drew Marine to Provence Holidays was the sheer diversity of the role and the chance to discover a completely new world while staying connected to the place she loves most: the South of France. She especially enjoys the human side of the job - sharing experiences with guests and helping visitors uncover the incredible places, activities, restaurants, vineyards and coastal lifestyle that make this region so special. Marine doesn’t come from a traditional tourism or hospitality background, but she has always been surrounded by the lifestyle that draws travellers here. Years of seasonal work, extensive travel and an artistic path through her studies and personal interests have shaped the way she sees the region. Creativity has always been at the heart of her journey, and today she loves combining that creativity with communication, local experiences and the exciting new projects taking shape at Provence Holidays.

"For me, Provence has a very special atmosphere - it feels like being on holiday all year round." - Marine

Where Marine loves to eat | Le Maïmo, Sainte-Maxime

One of Marine’s favourite places to eat in the South of France is Le Maïmo in Sainte-Maxime - a warm, welcoming restaurant with attentive staff, excellent food and a beautiful bohemian beach-style setting that instantly creates a relaxed holiday mood. Her recommendation? The roasted king prawns and scallops served with a carrot and ginger mousseline and baby fennel - a dish where the combination of flavours and the quality of the produce really shine.

"Tell us a bit about your history with the South of France"

Born near Nantes, Marine moved south with her family almost straight away - so the South of France has, in her words, essentially always been home. For the past seven years she has lived in the Var, and today she calls Draguignan home. For Marine, Provence has a very special atmosphere: it feels like being on holiday all year round. Living here is a real privilege, she says, because everything is close by - the sea, the mountains, rivers, lakes, vineyards and beautiful Provençal villages all within easy reach. What she loves most is the authenticity of the region, from the local markets and family-run restaurants to the relaxed lifestyle and sunny climate. She is especially fond of the peaceful pace of Draguignan, the easy access to nature and surrounding villages, and the many events that fill the calendar throughout the year - all wrapped up in a strong sense of community and family that makes Provence feel both vibrant and welcoming.

Marine's favourite family-friendly villa| Villa Lucia, Sainte-Maxime

One of Marine’s favourite properties for families is Villa Lucia in Sainte-Maxime - for her, the perfect balance of comfort, space and convenience for families travelling together. The villa offers several spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, giving everyone privacy and comfort, while the secure swimming pool makes it ideal for families with young children. The generous living spaces make it easy to relax and spend quality time together, and Marine particularly loves how close the property is to town - guests enjoy the peace of a private villa with restaurants, beaches and local activities just moments away.

An experience not to miss | The Perfume Museum, Grasse

For something memorable, Marine highly recommends a visit to the Perfume Museum in Grasse. The town itself is full of charm, and the museum offers a fascinating insight into the history and craft of perfume-making. Guests can discover unique scents and even create their own perfume during a workshop in the laboratory - a truly immersive and unforgettable experience.
