Luxury Holiday Home in Beautiful Luberon Village

Quaint, small town in the Luberon. Unique house!

There were 3 of us (women in our 50s) who stayed in this very unique home in the side of a mountain. The plunge pool was a saving grace because it was SO HOT when we were there. Rooms had A/C units (but one didn't work so well) but the little Plunge Pool was amazing and gave us some relief. The road to the house is literally through the little town and is VERY narrow. There is free parking (for people who are renting) in the village which we did not know about until a few days into our trip. There is a parking lot outside the house but no assigned parking for the house. I'm not sure I would recommend this house for families with small kids as the road literally outside the house's main door is DIRECTLY on a road (and the cars go really fast past the house). So be very careful when opening your door and stepping outside. The little village of Menerbes was certainly charming and not filled with tourists. It was a good place to stay while day-tripping to La Coste, Bonnieux, Apt, Lourmarin, Gordes. The sunflower fields surrounding Menerbes were beautiful. The Master bedroom of the house is to die for. It is super huge (toilet and sink are up a little staircase) and the shower is in the bedroom. So it's definitely unique but so cool. The upstairs outside patio was one of our favorite places to sit at night. I would say that the kitchen amenities are not quite up to par (we ate out most times so it wasn't a huge deal), but there aren't many regular-sized spoons - like there are huge serving spoons and a small sugar spoon - but not regular spoons. This is just one example. There were ants in the kitchen (so make sure you put all food in the small fridge). It would have been difficult to make a large meal, in our opinion, with the currently provided kitchen items. But if you're eating out at the lovely restaurants nearby, then it's likely not to be a huge issue. The wifi was good if you were in the dining room or TV room on the main level. But there was limited signals in the Master Bedroom. Those would be the only things I would like to mention as part of my review.

Très belle villa bien située. Juste un petit défaut, faire un classeur avec un repérage du tableau électrique. Les plombs du chauffe-eau avaient disjonctés, pas d'eau chaude le samedi. Un classeur simple avec "Que faire si" aurait suffit. Simple et peu onéreux Pour le reste c'est parfait

Very nice villa well located. Just a small defect, to make a binder with a location of the electrical panel. The water heater leads had tripped, no hot water on Saturday. A simple "What if" workbook would have sufficed. Simple and inexpensive For the rest it's perfect
