Domaine de La Citadelle
Located in the Luberon, Domaine de La Citadelle is a vineyard committed to organic farming, where production follows the rhythm of the seasons and the work of the vines.
The wines reflect the characteristics of the estate's different terroirs, with particular attention paid to precision and balance. The team's know-how is expressed in cuvées made from grapes grown with respect for the environment.
The estate offers several on-site experiences, including tastings, a table featuring seasonal produce, a garden open to visitors and a museum dedicated to wine. Together, they offer a complete approach to the area and its traditions.
Leaning against the northern slopes of the Luberon, Domaine de La Citadelle extends over some thirty-two hectares, divided between several lieux-dits and parcels. Organically farmed, the vineyard emphasizes the diversity of terroirs and respect for the environment.
The vines, located at altitudes of up to three hundred meters and aged from fifteen to seventy-five years, are planted on a variety of soils, including sandy marl, Miocene sand and limestone formations. This diversity contributes to the complexity of the wines produced.
The climate, influenced by the Mistral and the cooler conditions of the Luberon, plays an important role in the ripening of the grapes. These combined elements enable the domaine to produce wines that reflect the specific characteristics of each plot.
