Les Arcenaulx
Located on the Place aux Huiles, Les Arcenaulx is a unique concept combining restaurant, bookshop and delicatessen.
The dining room is organized around book shelves, with a few tables integrated into the space. The whole offers a structured setting, oriented towards both dining and discovery.
In the kitchen, chef Éric Cornilleau takes a classic approach, with dishes drawn from the Provencal repertoire. These include stuffed vegetables, artichoke papeton, monkfish blanquette with morel mushrooms and guinea fowl stuffed with herbs and ewe's milk cheese.
Desserts include homemade tarte tatin. A delicatessen, located at the rear of the restaurant, completes the offer with a selection of regional products and wines.
Founded in eighteen hundred and eighty by Jeanne and Simone Laffitte, Les Arcenaulx is housed in a former space linked to Marseille's port history. The venue combines restaurant, bookshop and cellar, with books and bottles integrated into the shelving around the tables.
Chef Éric Cornilleau offers seasonal cuisine inspired by the flavors of the Midi. The menu is based on local produce, notably from the sea and orchards of Provence, selected according to what's available.
The whole reflects a structured approach, focused on regional products, in a singular setting blending catering and cultural heritage.
