Auberge du Vieux Village
The Luberon > Mallemort
L’Auberge du Vieux Village is located near the church in Mallemort-de-Provence and occupies an eighteenth-century building that reflects the character of the village. Guests can dine in one of the two indoor dining rooms, in the patio, or on the terrace shaded by a wrought-iron pergola covered with climbing vines.
Beef plays a central role in the menu. The restaurant uses a dedicated ageing cellar where humidity and temperature are carefully controlled. This process allows the meat to develop deeper flavour and improved tenderness before preparation in the kitchen.
Mallemort-de-Provence sits on the edge of the Durance, between the Alpilles, the Luberon and the Pays d’Aix. The village is known for its location close to the Golf de Pont Royal, an eighteen-hole course designed by Seve Ballesteros, as well as the nearby holiday estate developed by Pierre & Vacances.
The restaurant offers a place to experience traditional cuisine while exploring this part of Provence.
The concept is based on a cuisine centered on butchered products, with a menu dedicated to cuts of meat and great classics.
Proposals include marrow bone, semi-cooked foie gras, matured entrecôte, sweetbreads with morel mushrooms, kidneys in Madeira sauce and wagyu beef onglet.
Dishes can be shared or served individually, with direct, structured execution.
Desserts complete the offer with a varied selection in keeping with the overall style.
