Chez bruno
French Riviera - Countryside > Lorgues
This rustic Provencal farmhouse dates back to the 1920s and belonged to the family's great-grandmother. Today, the Bruno family continues to run the house and maintain a restaurant based on ancestral culinary traditions. The two brothers, Benjamin in the kitchen and Samuel in the dining room, have taken over from their father Clément, known for his attachment to truffles. The truffle tasting menu remains a sure bet, with varieties changing with the seasons. Vegetables now play a more important role in the menu. Many of them come from the estate's four-thousand-square-meter kitchen garden, cultivated using biodynamic methods. The estate also produces its own olive oil. Eight varieties of olives are harvested from the estate's trees and pressed to create the house blend. Guests enjoy seasonal cuisine featuring truffles, garden vegetables and produce grown on the estate. Service is provided by the family, perpetuating a tradition that has characterized the house for generations
For over thirty years, the restaurant has offered a unique tasting menu. Dishes are prepared using carefully selected ingredients from suppliers chosen over time and with whom the house has often worked for years.
Truffles remain at the heart of the menu. They come from several families of truffle growers, which explains the variations in taste and seasonal availability, as well as the differences in price.
The cuisine follows a simple approach that brings out the best in each ingredient. Dishes focus on seasonal produce and traditional preparations, with truffles shaping the character of many dishes. FLEXIBILITY FOR GUESTS If the tasting menu doesn't suit all guests, another option can always be proposed. The team strives to offer attentive service while working with the best seasonal ingredients available at the time.
