Château Roubine
French Riviera - Countryside > Lorgues
Situated between the Verdon and the Mediterranean, between the Estérel and Sainte-Baume massifs, and between the Alps and Sainte-Victoire, the resort is set in an environment marked by geographical and climatic contrasts.
As the seasons go by, the vineyard follows the natural cycle of the vines, punctuated by the essential work carried out throughout the year. These conditions, combined with climatic variations specific to the region, help define the characteristics of the terroir and the quality of the grapes produced.
The Château Roubine vineyard stretches out in a single block in the heart of the Var, between the Verdon and the Mediterranean, surrounded by pines and oaks. Its name refers to the Provençal word "roubine", meaning stream, in connection with the natural drainage of the estate.
The estate covers one hundred and thirty hectares, including seventy-two hectares of vines. It is distinguished by the diversity of its thirteen grape varieties and by natural conditions suited to viticulture, notably an east-west orientation and clay-limestone soils.
Vineyard management is based on integrated farming methods, combined with modern technical tools. This approach makes it possible to control the various stages of production while respecting the balance of the terroir.
