Discovering wine with Laëtitia - what to expect

Laëtitia did not set out to work in wine. She originally trained as an English teacher before moving into tourism, spending several years travelling and working as an excursions host for a Greek cruise company. Her path into wine developed naturally through this background, combining communication, travel, and a strong interest in regional culture.

During a private wine tasting at your villa in Provence, Laëtitia creates a calm and well-prepared setting. She arrives around thirty minutes in advance to prepare the table with a white tablecloth, chosen to help keep focus on colour and clarity, and provides professional tasting glasses for each guest. The session begins with a clear, informal introduction to the wine regions of Provence and the Côtes du Rhône. Guests are then guided through a blind tasting, with Laëtitia explaining each stage of tasting in a structured but accessible way.

Her approach is always adapted to the group, whether guests are new to wine or looking to deepen their understanding during their holidays in Provence. Fluent in English, Laëtitia leads each tasting with clarity and confidence, drawing on her teaching background to make the experience informative, relaxed, and well-paced. This is a thoughtful and polished approach to wine, enjoyed from the comfort of your own villa.

A bit about Laëtitia

Returning to France in 1998 led her to Provence, where she developed a deep appreciation for the wines of the southern Rhône Valley. She refined her knowledge through roles in local wine estates, then formalised her training at the University of Wine in Suze-la-Rousse, graduating as a Sommelier-Conseil in 2006. She went on to work as a sommelier and wine merchant at the luxury hotel La Bastide de Gordes before launching her own business, Wine Synchro, in 2016.

Synchronicité

The name reflects her favourite French word, synchronicité - a reminder of the unexpected moments that guide a life. Nearly ten years on, Wine Synchro has become her way of sharing Provence in its most authentic form. Laëtitia hosts private tastings and wine workshops throughout the Luberon, Ventoux and Alpilles, offering visitors a direct connection to the region’s vineyards and traditions.
