Château Paradis
Aix-en-Provence > Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade
Located in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, north of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, Château Paradis stretches over eighty hectares between Mont Sainte-Victoire and the Luberon.
The estate benefits from a diversity of terroirs, gradually enhanced by its various owners. Since 2011, Xavier and Odile Thieblin have continued to develop the vineyard, paying particular attention to the quality of the wines and the identity of the site.
Accompanied by oenologists from the Rhône Valley, the team crafts cuvées that reflect the characteristics of the terroir and local production conditions.
The estate also offers wine tourism activities, enabling visitors to discover the vineyards, working methods and wines produced on site.
The Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation extends over more than four thousand hectares, between the Durance and the Mediterranean, from the Rhône valley to Mont Sainte-Victoire. The landscape is structured by several limestone ranges, between which vineyards occupy hillsides and valleys.
Château Paradis is located at the northern end of the appellation, on the foothills of the Trévaresse range and the Durance river terraces. The soils, mainly clay-limestone, sandy and stony, sometimes rest on outcropping limestone.
The climate combines plenty of sunshine with the influence of the Mistral and cooler currents from the Alps. These conditions favor gradual ripening of the grapes.
The wines produced on this terroir are distinguished by their balance. Rosés and whites are fresh and fruity, while reds offer more structure. The vineyard's work is based on integrated viticulture, with attention paid to the soil and the quality of the grapes harvested.
