L'Estuaire Plage
Le Grau-du-Roi
Estuaire Beach is on the left bank of Grau-du-Roi, between the sea and Étang Médard, just after Port Camargue. It offers a coastal setting shaped by sand, driftwood and a distinctly maritime character, with a laid-back pace that suits a day by the water.
Estuaire Beach presents a setting that is straightforward in concept and distinctive in execution. The club is arranged around the elements, with feet-in-the-sand seating, thatched shades, navy and white sunbeds, and a décor built from vintage surfboards, fishing nets and painted wooden barrels. The result is a space that feels rooted in the local fishing identity rather than a generic seaside formula. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a team on hand throughout the day and a clear focus on comfort rather than excess. Guests can settle in close to the water, watch the light shift across the coast and enjoy a beach club that keeps its attention on the essentials. The experience is shaped by its location and by the contrast between the wild coastline and the practical comfort of the club. Estuaire Beach suits visitors looking for a full day on the sand without losing sight of the surrounding landscape. The shoreline, the lagoon-like water and the open horizon give the site its appeal, while the styling keeps the tone informal and slightly offbeat. It is not a place built on polish for its own sake, but on a recognisable coastal identity that makes sense in Grau-du-Roi.
The restaurant
The restaurant offer is built around sharing, local produce and seafood cooked with a clear regional bias. Tapas include gratinated mussels, Grau squid, bull charcuterie, Grau shrimp, gratinated clams and octopus terrine with tarragon. The main seafood focus is fresh fish from the fishing boats of Grau-du-Roi, cooked over a wood fire each day according to arrival, which means the menu changes with supply rather than relying on fixed routine. The seafood section includes red tuna tartare, octopus marinated in parsley, sole meunière and whole sea bream. For meat, the menu offers Camargue bull ribeye, Camargue bull rib and a matured Angus Aberdeen skewer. There are also lighter choices such as Estuaire salad, heirloom tomato and burrata salad, Caesar salad, a vegetarian platter and a green salad bowl. The menu is broad enough for a full lunch service, while staying close to the coastal and Camargue ingredients that define the club.
