Le Clovis
Tourrettes-sur-Loup
In the heart of the medieval village, this bistro offers a short menu built around a clear concept. Several set menus combine a starter and a main course around a star product, whether seasonal vegetables, Mediterranean fish or meat. Beef is often from the Parthenaise breed, sourced from the owner's family farm in Vendée.
Many visitors start with an aperitif and a selection of charcuterie to share. The wine list focuses on well-chosen regional and French bottles. Next door, a wine bar offers tasting boards and a more relaxed setting for drinks and small plates.
Chef Julien's connection with ingredients began when he was a child in the Vendée. His parents farmed and raised Parthenais cows, while a large vegetable garden surrounded the family home. He grew up with the rhythm of the seasons, surrounded by fruit trees, vegetables and cattle grazing in the fields outside his bedroom window. At home, animals and produce were treated with care and respect. This approach continues to guide his cooking today. His cooking reflects the flavors and products he knew as a child, prepared with an eye for quality and simple techniques.
