Location: Nestled in a secluded mountainside setting in the southern French Alps, Mas Villard benefits from around 300 days of sunshine per year. Only 30 minutes from the ski slopes, this stunning holiday rental is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of tourism.
Outdoor Living: Enjoy the heated swimming pool, bespoke Japanese-style concrete hot tub, outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, BBQ and pétanque court, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.
Welcome Hamper: Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome hamper filled with local produce and a bottle of wine.
Year-Round Entertainment: With a yoga and fitness room, honesty bar and beautiful spaces for relaxing and entertaining, the property is designed for enjoying time together with family and friends at any time of year.
All Ensuite: Every bedroom has its own private ensuite bathroom. The property comprises four double bedrooms and one twin bedroom in the main villa, together with a separate, self-contained studio with an additional double bedroom.
Things to note
Children: Children are very welcome at the property. However, due to the designer furnishings, including glass and metal furniture, young children should be supervised at all times.
The owners: The owners live in a completely separate, private section of the property and none of the facilities are shared with guests. They are on hand to maintain the property and facilities and are available should guests need any assistance during their stay.

Exterior
At the back of the villa, a beautiful outdoor living and dining area sits beneath the shade of a magnificent ancient oak tree, with stunning mountain views beyond the pool and a backdrop of pine forest. It is the perfect setting for long, relaxed lunches and evening meals. The outdoor cooking area includes a wood-fired pizza oven, charcoal barbecue, plancha and gas barbecue, with an outdoor fridge to keep chilled bottles of rosé and beers close at hand.
For a taste of the local way of life, challenge your friends to a game of pétanque on the private boules court, or head out to explore the surrounding countryside. Guests can make use of the property's electric mountain bikes, kayaks and paddle boards to discover the nearby river, lakes and mountain trails.
Pool
The heated 10 x 4m swimming pool sits on the terrace beside the villa, accompanied by a bespoke Japanese-style concrete hot tub. The pool is heated from April to October, making it perfect for enjoying the warmer months.
Beyond the pool, a large open field provides plenty of space for outdoor activities, with a private badminton court and a newly completed pétanque court. An outdoor bar, with a counter, sink and four bar stools, provides the perfect spot for a drink between games or as the sun goes down.
From the pool and terrace, you can enjoy stunning views towards the surrounding mountains, with the pine forest providing a beautiful natural backdrop.

This unique and wonderfully artistic 17th-century farmhouse combines original architectural features with contemporary design and carefully curated designer furnishings. The main villa accommodates up to 10 guests across five bedrooms: four double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC, while two of the bedrooms also feature cast-iron bathtubs.
The 32m² Studio is a separate, self-contained space and a beautifully renovated former chapel, with impressive high vaulted ceilings. It accommodates an additional two guests, with a double bedroom on the mezzanine level, an ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and living area, as well as its own private outdoor courtyard. The Studio forms part of the rental as a whole and brings the property's total capacity to 12 guests.
The spacious, well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure for anyone who enjoys cooking and entertaining, with everything you need to prepare meals for family and friends. The original 17th-century cellar has been transformed into a characterful honesty bar, creating a unique space for enjoying an aperitif or evening drinks together. The bar is also equipped with an ice cream maker for those who prefer something sweet and refreshing.
The ground-floor yoga and exercise room doubles as a practical boot room, providing space to store skiing and snowboarding equipment during the winter months. The villa also has a dedicated cinema room, offering a cosy space to relax and enjoy a film.
Throughout the property, original architectural details sit alongside contemporary elements and distinctive designer furniture, creating a harmonious blend of old and new.
