 Why Sainte-Maxime?

Sainte-Maxime has long been one of the most beloved corners of the Var. With its honey-coloured old town, its long sandy beaches, its weekly market under the plane trees and its uninterrupted view across the bay to Saint-Tropez, it is a town that captures everything we love about a Riviera summer - without the crowds and the queues of its more famous neighbour. It is the kind of place where breakfasts are eaten on terraces, afternoons are spent in the water, and dinners run long into the warm Provençal night. It is also a town with extraordinary villas hidden in its hills - properties with sea views, private pools, mature gardens of olive and umbrella pine - and an owner community that has been asking us, for some time, when we were going to set up shop locally. Opening an agency in Sainte-Maxime allows us to do something we have always wanted to do properly on the French Riviera: be there, in person, every day. It means we can meet new owners on their own terraces, walk through their homes properly, and bring them into the Provence Holidays family with the same care and attention we have always brought to our owners in the Alpilles, the Luberon and beyond. We have called this our flagship because it is exactly that: the home of the Provence Holidays family on the French Riviera, and the place we want every owner, every guest and every neighbour to feel welcome walking into.

Step inside the flagship

We did not want it to feel like an office. We wanted it to feel like one of our villas. So we worked closely with our designers to create a space that feels less like a traditional rental agency and more like a Provençal home: warm terracotta pots and a young olive tree at the entrance, an open-plan welcome area with wishbone chairs around a long oak dining table, soft linen sofas in cream and clay, woven floor lamps, arched alcoves filled with handmade pottery and books, and the Provence Holidays sun looking down from the wall above the seating area.

Every detail - from the textures of the cushions to the tone of the lighting - was chosen the way we would choose them for one of the villas in our collection. We wanted somewhere that owners would feel comfortable spending an afternoon, that travellers could drop into for advice, and that the team would actually enjoy working in every day. We think we have achieved all three. Whether you are popping in to discuss listing your property, to pick up keys for a stay, or simply to ask for a restaurant recommendation in town, you are very welcome - kettle on, doors open, the olive tree by the door.

The agency opens its doors on June 8th 2026 and will be open seven days a week through to the end of September, from 10 am to 7 pm. We chose those hours deliberately: we wanted to be open when our guests are arriving, when our owners are passing by on their way to the market, and when our neighbours are out for a stroll along the seafront in the cool of the evening.
