Château de la Gardine
Mont Ventoux > Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The Brunel family has been involved in winegrowing since the 17th century. In 1945, Gaston Brunel acquired Château de la Gardine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, marking the development of the estate into its present form.
Today, the estate is managed by several members of the family, spread over several generations, ensuring the continuity of know-how.
The vineyard extends over fifty-four hectares, of which fifty hectares are devoted to red wines and four hectares to white wines, plus twenty hectares of forest surrounding the estate.
The estate is renowned for the quality of its wines and for its distinctive bottle. Much of the production is exported, with a presence in many countries.
Located on the outskirts of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the direction of Roquemaure, the Château de la Gardine tasting cellar is part of an 18th-century family estate.
The terrace overlooks the vineyards and the Rhône. Inside, visitors are welcomed into a dedicated tasting area, while the barrel cellar, located in the basement, bears witness to the work carried out throughout the year.
The tasting lasts about an hour, with some flexibility depending on expectations. It generally includes a presentation of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, an overview of the estate's history and terroirs, and a commented tasting of at least five wines.
Depending on conditions, a tour of the winery may also be offered. The whole experience is designed to be accessible to all, whether you want to discover the wines or deepen your knowledge.
Advance booking is recommended, especially during busy periods.
