Naka
For many years, chef Katsuhiro Naka played a central role in the restaurant's identity. After his departure, the kitchen continued to build on this foundation, while maintaining its focus on Japanese culinary traditions.
The menu features many of the well-known Japanese dishes that have shaped the international reputation of this cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, maki, tempura and chirashi. Desserts such as mochi ice cream also feature on the menu.
In addition to these familiar dishes, the restaurant presents other Japanese specialties that are less well known outside Japan. This approach allows customers to explore a wider range of flavors and preparations associated with Japanese cuisine.
In keeping with the traditions of Japanese cuisine, the restaurant offers a range of menus based on the great classics of Japanese cuisine. Several formulas combine different preparations to offer a broader introduction to this style of cuisine. Lunch menus are also available, designed for customers visiting in the middle of the day. The restaurant is located in one of Avignon's quietest squares, offering a peaceful setting for a midday meal. To accompany the dishes, the drinks menu includes several beverages associated with Japanese cuisine. Customers can choose from Japanese beers, sake, green tea and Japanese whisky, each selected to complement the flavors of the menu.
