Domaine de la Brillane
Aix-en-Provence > Aix-en-Provence
Located near Aix-en-Provence, Domaine de la Brillane covers fourteen hectares of vineyards facing Mont Sainte-Victoire.
The vineyards are planted on Trévaresse soils, characteristic of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation. At an altitude of around four hundred meters, these conditions favor the production of wines marked by freshness and minerality.
Certified AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, the estate produces red, rosé and white wines. The vineyard has been farmed organically for over fifteen years, with Ecocert certification obtained in 2004.
At Domaine de La Brillane, production is based on an approach centered on respect for the soil, the vines and the grapes. The vineyard is farmed organically, and the grapes are harvested by hand.
Vinification is carried out without the addition of enzymes or yeast, to preserve the natural expression of the grapes. The facilities also reflect this approach. The winemaking room is built from Cévennes chestnut wood, a material used without treatment, while the storage area is based on a natural, non-air-conditioned structure.
This method requires constant attention to vineyard and production conditions. The aim is to produce wines that are faithful to their origins, while limiting outside intervention.
