Les Pêcheurs
Côte d'Azur / French Riviera > Nice
Restaurant Les Pêcheurs focuses on fish and seafood, presenting a menu rooted in traditional French cuisine while introducing contemporary Mediterranean influences. After a recent update of the menu and team, the restaurant continues to build on its established approach to regional cuisine.
Bouillabaisse remains one of the restaurant's best-known dishes, as do seafood platters and homemade foie gras. The menu also features dishes that reflect a more modern interpretation of Mediterranean ingredients.
Throughout the menu, the kitchen strives to highlight clear flavors through simple preparations and balanced combinations. Particular attention is also paid to the presentation of each dish, with ingredients brought together in a way that is both pleasing to the eye and to the palate.
Les Pêcheurs restaurant has been located on Nice's Port Lympia since 1955, facing the Château hill. From the outset, the restaurant has relied on the port's daily fishing activity, working with fresh seafood supplied by local boats. For over seventy years, the cuisine has maintained this link with the sea, while introducing influences from other culinary traditions. Many dishes have remained close to their original recipes, such as rock fish soup served with rouille, sea bass, sea bream and the restaurant's well-known bouillabaisse. Since two thousand and fourteen, the restaurant has been listed in the Michelin Guide, recognizing a cooking style based on carefully selected ingredients and consistent preparation. Its location on the old port puts customers close to the daily activity of the harbor. Tables overlook the yachts and traditional "pointus", the small, colorful boats used by local fishermen.
