Auberge de la bartavelle
La Bartavelle is a small family-run restaurant located in the Luberon village of Goult. Run by an experienced couple, the restaurant has developed a strong local reputation and attracts many returning guests.
The chef offers a deliberately short menu, allowing the kitchen to focus on the quality of each dish. The cuisine draws inspiration from Provence and highlights seasonal ingredients available at the market.
The result is a menu of well-prepared, flavourful dishes that reflect the products of the region. The restaurant is popular with regular diners, so booking in advance is recommended.
Chef Emmanuel focuses on local ingredients prepared according to Mediterranean-inspired recipes. The menu evolves throughout the year according to the region's seasonal produce. In spring, dishes may include green asparagus au gratin with Parmesan served with roast saddle of lamb in a lemon and olive crust. Desserts often feature local strawberries. In summer, the wild fish of the day is accompanied by seasonal vegetables, followed by desserts such as cherry clafoutis served with fresh goat's cheese and lemon zest. When temperatures cool, the menu turns to game from nearby hunting grounds, often accompanied by Luberon mushrooms and truffles.
