Bibendum
In the heart of a former cloister, Bibendum is organized around several spaces: a bistronomic restaurant, a cocktail bar, a cheese bar and a terrace set up in the inner courtyard, used in season.
Michelin-starred chef Mathieu Desmarest, also head of Pollen, is responsible for the menu. Émilie Desmarest structures the entire project with an approach focused on a dynamic, accessible experience.
The cuisine is prepared à la minute from fresh, seasonal produce, with influences from northern France. Among the dishes, creamy pumpkin is served with onion confit and stracciatella. Orzo risotto with pecorino is accompanied by a vegetable mirepoix with sage and beef charcuterie.
The diversity of the spaces means that meals, cheese tastings and cocktails can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.
Housed in a former 14th-century cloister, Bibendum combines a bistronomic restaurant with a cocktail bar in the heart of Avignon. This is the second address of Michelin-starred chef Mathieu Desmarest, also behind the Pollen restaurant. The menu changes weekly, based on seasonal produce. The cocktail bar completes the offer with a selection of drinks and elaborate tapas. The establishment functions as a living space, with a regular program. A piano bar is offered on Tuesday evenings, while DJ sets enliven Fridays and Saturdays. Temporary exhibitions enrich the experience from time to time. In summer, the inner courtyard, well known to Avignon locals, becomes a central space for meals and parties.
