Period stone, Luberon relief and open horizons
Minutes from Lourmarin, in the commune of Cucuron, the property is set on a slope. The two dwellings, facing south and south-east, follow the terrain and look out across the valley towards Sainte-Victoire. This setting connects the period architecture with the wooded contours and garrigue of the Luberon.
The main house was built against a rock over several periods, from the 16th to the 19th century. The second house, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, has a more recent addition to the east. Together with their outbuildings, they form a whole marked by successive periods of construction. Fibre optic broadband is installed at the property.
Exterior
The 4.6 hectares [11.4 acres] alternate between lawned areas, garrigue and woodland, with olive trees, irrigated truffle oaks, pines and centenarian trees creating shaded areas.
An east- and south-facing terrace extends the main house, while another, due south, overlooks nature. A garage-workshop to the north, technical room, 90-metre [295 ft] borehole and recent septic tanks complete the grounds.
Pool
The grounds feature a 7 x 12-metre [23 x 39 ft] pool. It is set within an environment of garrigue, woodland, olive trees, truffle oaks and pines.
Interior
In the main house, the large kitchen is linked to the second floor, while the vaulted sitting room with fireplace is served by an old stone staircase. The entrance includes a cloakroom and WC.
An agricultural hangar is intended to extend the existing sitting room. In the second dwelling, a sitting room with fireplace occupies the western ground floor, while a kitchen and sitting room are arranged on split levels to the east.
Bedrooms
On the ground floor of the main house, a vaulted bedroom sits alongside a large room fitted out as a bedroom; a bathroom with shower is also located here. The second floor brings together a small bedroom, a large bedroom, a WC and a bathroom with shower and bath.
In the other dwelling, two bedrooms are on the first floor, along with two bathrooms and an open space. A small bedroom or office is arranged on the house terrace.
