From the skies to the Sorgue - meet Clémence from the arrivals team
After years working as a flight attendant and exploring destinations around the world, Clémence recently returned to the place that feels most like home: Provence. She joined the Provence Holidays arrivals team just one month ago and now plays a key role in welcoming guests and making sure their stay begins smoothly.
“I used to love flying,” she says, “but I was really missing Provence. Coming back here and being able to work in this region felt like the right move.”
Travel still holds a special place in her heart. Out of everywhere she has visited, Palma de Mallorca remains her favourite destination for its blend of natural beauty and relaxed island life. But Provence, with its light, its calm, and its rhythm, will always feel like home.
“Working in guest arrivals gives me the chance to see people at the very beginning of their stay. My goal is to make sure that moment feels relaxed, warm, and full of promise - because that first impression really sets the tone.”

Domaine des Lys is a luxurious Provençal estate nestled in the pine forests near Gordes, offering a serene retreat with panoramic views of The Luberon. The property features a main house with five elegant bedrooms and two independent guest houses, accommodating up to 18 guests. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, private tennis court, sauna, fitness room, and outdoor kitchen. Guests can enjoy private hiking trails and a putting green on the estate, all within walking distance to the charming village of Gordes.

One of Clemence's favourite properties is Bastide de Goult, which she describes as “a villa that truly reflects the region’s soul.” Surrounded by vineyards and fields of lavender, the property offers sweeping views and a sense of complete immersion in The Luberon landscape. “If I could stay there for a week, I would spend mornings walking through the vines, afternoons reading by the pool, and evenings watching the sun set over the hills,” she says.
For those who want to feel part of the landscape, not just observe it, Bastide de Goult is a perfect base.
Favourite village | L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
“I love walking along the river, getting lost in the side streets, and stopping for coffee at a café by the water,” she says. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the mix of antiques, markets, and local shops makes every visit feel a little different.
If there is one village Clémence always recommends, it is L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue - a town often called the Venice of Provence for the canals that wind through its centre. “It’s the kind of place where you don’t need a plan. Just start walking, and you’ll find something beautiful.”
